Shroud was already slightly confused if not disappointed at his 100 ping and a bit of lag in a busy area.

But I'm really happy for the publicity the game currently gets on Twitch.

I don't know the other, I watch this Asmongold video once and he gave me bad impression.

The only ESO channel I watched is Kevduit.

I watched that Asmon guy make a character and go into the Vvardenfell tutorial, it was so painful. As soon as he left Naryu and saw a player he tried to run up and punch the guy, confused as to why it wasnt doing anything. He also mistook another player as an NPC and while fiddling with the interact wheel, accidentally accepted a group invite then played the rest of the video in a group.

WoW players thinking ESO is like WoW.

You know that at the beginning everyone of us was noob? Hell I was even thinking my game was bugged because when leveling from 50 to cp160 my equipment had become weaker

Nixxiom has a good community , Asmongold has a good core community but a lot of idiots watch him (no surprise there he is a big streamer after all). I think this is a good thing for the game. A lot of toxic people will probably come to eso , but i don't think they will be the type to stay for very long.

Shroud: former CS:GO pro, big PUBG and Apex Legends streamer. 6 million+ followers on Twitch.

Asmongold: well-known WoW streamer/personality. Very divisive because he's a prick so you probably either think he's hilarious or awful. Does a lot of odd events like "mount offs" and transmog competitions and the like.

Nixxiom's another big WoW content creator.

Don't know that anyone should really "care" what they think but if you tune into Shroud playing ESO, he's got more viewers in stream than the big ESO streamers ever get. Definitely exposing the game to a huge audience.

I wasn't too surprised about the two WoW players. At some point they had to try something new and ESO seems to be in a good state or better state than WoW right now. Even Toweliee plays other MMOs more often recently.

What surprised me was seeing Shroud playing the game and he really enjoyed himself to a point where he announced to commit more time to try all aspects of ESO. Lets see what impact that will have, if any.

    Who are these people?

EDIT: Looked it up. Seems like they're pretty popular WOW streamers who recently switched to ESO. Hey, I think that's a good thing. A lot more people are gonna play ESO. Obviously, they will be less informed than us, so it's important that we aren't toxic to their questions however stupid it may be. Especially in zone chat of starting areas.

I doubt that'll happen in PvP zone chat tho lol. It's always PvZone in there.

Asmongold is a bellend, over the top anger and dramatics. Not a guy i personally want representing our community. Nixxiom is a much more balanced guy and will give a fairer outlook on the game.

For ESO, Kristoffer is the best streamer out there currently.
By Hircine's hand i mark thee!

I enjoy watching Kristoffer for PVP, and Alcast for PVE content.

Hope this new wave of players increase their viewer count!

Have picked up a few WoW refugees... they have been ok so far.
But I think the ones that actually ask nicely for help in zone chat are prob respectful anyway *shrug*.

Ill give them half a year max before they return to their former mmos.
They will eventually figure out why ESO isnt the biggest mmo out there if its so perfect and good in every aspect.
Server performance isnt the only issue.

The absolute last thing this community needs is Asmongold's followers. Those people are completely insufferable and seriously cringy.

influencer is an appropriate term I guess. in todays day and age these forms of 'reviews' do certainly matter to some, to trivialize them would be somewhat bad PR.

I can't say I care too much about these people, because people applying an inflated amount of great importance to them, as if their presence is going to add great stonking changes and influence. Especially doesn't help when you take in to consideration that...

Nixxiom is an American (I think he is/was an American?) who is trying so desperately hard to be a Nordic Viking guy, to the point that it's just sad.
Asmongold looks like Tom Green, if Tom Green were to play videogames (Although to be honest, I probably messed up the name of that one comedian who walked around doing.... Anti-Humor things. Something-Green he was)
Can't say much for this Shroud character, but it's some guy who plays shootie games transitioning to MMO games, so.... *shrug emoji*

At least these are the things that bother me about these folk, others might find something else that they might be bothered about. They really aren't as spectacular as some people might want to imply.

It's always great for the game to have new players no matter if they are streamers with high audience or just new ESO players. However as eso_lags mentioned the lag in Cyrodiil is quite painful too often, which will most likely lead to many players avoiding Cyrodiil after few too lagtastic times. I think I saw you eso_lags in DC on Xbox NA by the way.
I'm sure WoW players have their own culture in their game, for example the words used commonly, many of them will probably be very confused at first while playing ESO. I've played on Xbox NA for few weeks now and there's some difference compared to EU server. NA has some weird double caps thing going on for example, the 2 first letters are with caps for some reason, first I thought someone just had accidental double caps, but then I noticed it happen more often everywhere so it's clearly some cool caps thing, probably some streamer started and many just use the COol CAps now.
It's important to be respectful for new players, everyone has been a n00b at some point and needed advice or help. In pvp many arrogant experienced players treat new players as garbage, it's probably because they can and the n00b can't do much against them. I think this behavior is very pathetic and definitely not good for the game overall. All the gear, cp and pvp experience between experienced and new players are already so huge that it's not even any actual competition.

I'm usually happy that ESO is given more attention and recognition - but anything related to Asmongold makes me nervous. Not sure about the other two, but Asmongold can be notoriously impulsive and toxic. Worst case, we don't need the game's image being jeopardized by him and his fans. Still, Asmongold isn't always toxic - nor is he always wrong. But I would be wary.
