Nope. In fact its more fun than I expected it to be. I do wish the flesh atronoch was still a dragon, though. Not really into the look of that skill at all.

They're written down in eternity
But you'll never see the price it costs
The scars collected all their lives
When everything's lost, they pick up their hearts and avenge defeat
Before it all starts, they suffer through harm just to touch a dream
Oh, pick yourself up, 'cause

I really wanted a bone dragon ultimate instead of the colossus. I figured it was going to be another pet class like the warden put I was hoping you would be able to summon a hord of undead like a pet for every dead body and they would be sort lived.
But i'll still be making one and it will be my one true evil character that will always have a bounty
The corpse mechanic seems so clunky and some of the abilities seem to be counter-intuitive by their design:
- Mystic Siphon returns magicka, grants additional damage while slotted, and deals damage BUT the ability cost versus the sustain granted results in net loss for the player and is tied to requiring a corpse to begin with.
- Mortal Coil return stamina, but is tied to a HEALING ability that grants better healing while slotted and is tied to requiring a corpse to work. Stamina characters get the shaft with sustain as a Necro because of how misplaced their sustain is on the class tree.
This example could be fixed by changing siphon cost and for it to have 2 morphs - one for stamina sustain and one for magicka sustain, while having the heal ability just do HEALING like it's supposed to do. This way, both stamina and magicka characters can take advantage of Siphon's slotted 3% damage passive and sustain as intended.
“Let your plans be dark and impenetrable as night, and when you move, fall like a thunderbolt.”
-stamNecros will still use Dawnbreaker as it's almost half the price of the Atro ult and I'm not sure what Necromancer would touch Dawnbreaker in game.
-the pets are limited, blast bones is a RIP off of sub assault and the skull is like cliff racer.
I think that they missed the mark a bit. Some of the skills and passives are cool I don't feel like a walking plague bringer or even a half decent summoner.
I *really* thought ESO was finally going to have a real, no kidding pet class...one where you commanded the pet on what to attack, when to back off, etc. Having the choice of a pet to be a tank, one to be DPS...
But no...ESO has something against pet classes, so the best we get is Sorcerer and Warden, neither of which have full control over their pets.
It would have worked, too...Wardens have cooperative, not controlled pets, and Sorcerer's pets are daedric, so struggling against control. But a necromancer has complete control over the dead.
Of course, showing skeletons fighting and shooting arrows in the previews really had me thinking a true pet class. Even the 'Deep Dive' Blog has a pic of a necro controlling a skel with a sword. But no...just false advertising. Meh.
Yes, but simply because this class is clearly overperforming other classes. If it is released as it is now, our current nightblade meta will become a necromancer meta, turning by the same occasion ESO in a pay-to-win game.
100% love Necros and their take on it. My only issue is the game does not do much to help alts. Not looking foward to hitting all the grinds again lol.
I just wanted some skeletal perma pets. If the pets lasted like 2 minutes instead of of 8 or 16 seconds I would feel better about it. But the current time is too short making basically it a solid version of the nightblade shadow Summon I never cared for.
Disappointed from the none perm pets to the color being purple and not green
It's only a Necro in name to me
I'm honestly GLAD the color is purple...looks really cool. Plus there is a lot of that "necromancer" green mixed in, so it's pretty flashy when you're wielding a flame staff with all the red, purple, and teal/green flying around.

I have only played Necromancer as a healer so far and have to say I am very happy with it. The class works very well as a PvE healer in terms of power as well as convenience. However I am very worried for it's future as I do not believe ZOS knows how endgame healing works and has a tendency to try and force us into very inconvenient playstyles. I am convinced they have no idea how unreliable and mostly useless corpses in PvE healing are and that they only function as ultimate source, basically the whole class concept does not work in that regard and I really fear that they will ruin Necromancer while trying to force us into using corpses. Those tendencies already show in the nerfs that happend on the PTS. Of course Necromancer was way too strong in 5.0.0, however the nerfs that happened so far were already unreasonable in many places. For example the resurrection ultimate was turn from a probably too strong ultimate to utter trash, because the devs seem to not understand why this ultimate is even used and how to balance it in a way that does not destroy that.I can only hope that Necromancer's ultigen will remain untouched.
