What good is inspiration at max crafting level?

I notice I get inspiration from crafting items on some characters that are top level in that item (such as level 50 in Clothing). I don't think they have maxed the skill points though, especially on the material. Is that why I am still getting inspiration for daily writs? What value does that have?

There is no value. Same as getting Exp when your over the cap.

There is an Experience Cap? It is still the basis for CP even if we can't apply them all yet?

Of course yes if we never get a new CP Cap or they do something else. But I'm one of those that missed/messed up all the original level-CP and Horse Training conversions so I'm leary of not getting my CP as high as possible over the rest of the year LOL.

There's a CP cap, not an experience cap. You continue to accumulate experience which is why I'm nominally CP930-something and rising. Before ZOS locked the CP at 810 it used to rise by 30 points every major update and people like me just spent them on day 1. Inspiration, OTOH, is utterly pointless at max crafter level.

Once you put all the skill points into the material passives the inspiration isn't listed anymore at the turn in. Imo it should drop after hitting level 50 in the crafts but no biggie.

Thanks everyone. I thought it was useless, but I wondered.

The inspiration is built-in to the reward, so it's there for all but the top level. A character with Level 50 in the craft, but who hasn't spent the skill points to move up their rank, will get inspiration they can't use.

I was previously letting some of my characters use up the lower materials, with one at each rank, but the way they feed back now makes that irrelevant. We're gathering skyshards and moving up.

I haven't leveled all of them up because I need many more SkyShards. That is far too time consuming.
