QoL improvement *urgently* needed with Elsweyr ... (Stacks)

Hi @all

I think there have been already quite a few posts in different threads abot what I am going to say/ask, but nevertheless, I think I should mention it again in a standalone thread

In the last few years we - the Players - have been given many, many, many, …*a few mins later* … many, many different kinds of Runeboxes, Styles and many more things… The latest of those are the new Companion Styles from the Anniversary-Event... Sadly nearly all of those Runeboxes and Styles are NOT stacking and further more some of them - the new Companion Styles - even can not be placed in the bank..!

@ZOS_GinaBruno

Please Gina, convey to the Devs that we - the Players - would like them to make all of those Runeboxes and Styles *STACKABLE* and furthermore give us please also the possibility
to put the new Companion Styles into our banks..! There is absolutely no reason what so ever for them not to be stackable and not to be placed into the bank  … At least I can not see any reason(s)… If there is/are, perhaps you (Gina) can enlighten us..? I know that there are some items - e.g. PvP-Siegeweapons - which can not be made stackable because they have certain aspects which are preventing that, but that shouldn't be - as far as I am able to see it - the case for Runeboxes and Styles...

I am aware that some may argue now about *inventory management* and so on, but let me say this... How should you manage an inventory - even if you have 10 Chars with maxed inventories, a maxed bank, a guildbank and 5x 30 Tradeslots stuffed/filled with all the things you need/want to sell - if you get buried under 100+ Style-Pages and 50+ Runeboxes which are not stacking every now and then.?? The answers is simple - you can't  … Even as an ESO+ Player..! Therefore I think it would be really great for all of us if the Devs would make Runeboxes, Style-Pages and some other things (e.g. Event and Quest reward boxes) stackable…

Best regards
Shadow

All Containers are going to follow the inventory rules of that subset, even if some are far less sensitive to the programming and gameplay reasons behind those inventory rules.

I don't understand why so many people seem against adding more inventory space when it would literally do nothing to detract from their game experience and wouldn't require much in the way of programming, I wouldn't imagine. The mentality of "well I don't need it so no one else does lol" is really baffling. Everyone would benefit from more inventory space, even if you don't necessarily need it. And considering how many scores of items ZOS has released since the game launched and we still haven't had a base increase to bank or inventory slots...

It's only made worse by the problem OP is pointing out, where Containers don't stack and can't be banked (other than guild banks). More and more Containers are being released every year as well, again with no base increases to storage space to account for all these new items we're getting.

Inventory management is a nightmare in this game. Yesterday I spent an hour destroying sets I had spent hours farming just to make some space. Come on zos sort it out please @ZOS_GinaBruno

Inventory management is a nightmare for me at the moment. I wish we had a furniture craft bag, that would solve a lot of the space issues for me. Also, making all items stackable would help so much.

With Elswyer on it's way soon with new items, sets and furniture, I am going to have to make room and I'm already at my max. We just don't have enough space to cope.

Fair enough. But then the question becomes, why do they have to be containers? Motif style pages were doing just fine with their wonderful bankable and stackable nature. One wonders what the reasoning is behind outfit styles requiring a container.

Well, your are not wrong, but... Take for example Star Trek Online or Star Wars The Old Republic... There you have Lockboxes (STO) and Cartel-Packs (SWToR), which are both containers too and they do stack in both games..! Certainly STO and SWToR aren't ESO and so the coding is completely different... But nevertheless STO and SWToR show us that even containers can stack, if the coding is done right…

Now... Until Gina or a Dev is telling us that in ESO making containers stackable isn't possible because of the programm code or the database setup or what ever, I am assuming it is possible

Good idea… I also thought about mentioning that to @ZOS_GinaBruno... It would be a great addition to the ESO+ portfolio :sunglasses: ..!

Damn… I totally forgot those :cold_sweat: … You are right… They also should be stackable, like the crafting surveys for example…

How about just sell, give away, or delete your unwanted containers? You can only unlock a container once... every container after the first is useless to you.

Stop the greed, stop the hoarding. Just sayin'

It's not necessarily about greed. It's about inventory management. I may very well want to give away containers, but I have 50 of them spread across 15 toons. When my friend asks "Do you have extra Sai Sahan bracers?" my honest answer is that I have no clue. I can't easily bank and stack them to keep track. By the time I check all my toons again, they could have just gone out and bought them anyway.

Well... That would diminish the value ESO+ has, so you can take it that ZOS won't be doing that

Hm... How about reading and thinking first before writing  ..?

Well, jokes aside  … As I wrote in my first post - "...and 5x 30 Tradeslots stuffed/filled with all the things you need/want to sell…" - even if you try to sell all the stuff you want to sell and can sell, you'll still have problems to find space for all those containers..! Therefore making them stackable would be the best solution…

And just in case you or someone else will say something like *Well, in that case you must destroy it, even if you could sell it for quite some Gold!*… Let me say this: I don't think anyone around here would destroy a container if that still could be sold for quite some Gold (e.g. Sai Sahan Style)
