Usually I get a kick out of the default mount/pet names....but I finally got my Elsweyr preorder, and got the preorder mount....and the heckin' thing is named Bent Horse?

Isn't that what the kids are saying now? "Time to get Bent" means something like time to get crazy/f'd up. Basically your horse is down to partttyyyy.

No.. It means to get bent over and be forcifully done from behind. In the prison sense. That's what it meant in the 90s, pretty sure it still means that now. Never heard, 'let's get bent', but commonly people being told to get bent.

Also, in UK slang, 'bent' is a derogatory form for homosexual.

Context is king in this case

It's been used as a term for telling someone to essentially heck off as well. Depends on where it's being said, the same word/phrase can have wildly varying meanings depending on where a person is.

In this particular case though it's in reference to Dro-m'Athra lore.

I've heard some teenage kids saying something like "Time to go get bent" -- which they were referring to smoking some weed. It's also been referenced in some different rap lyrics (as I was just recently informed) for when they are talking about drinking that Lean (I think it's called? some sort of psychedelic drink) and they are going to be "bent" or "sideways."

At least in ‘Murcia I’ve only ever seen it used as a fairly direct variation of that old phrase of “going on a bender”

It’s hardly “kids these day”, there’s always been this sort of thing, only before this century you didn’t have social media to spread stories to the wind (and all the strangers online)

On topic though, it is a rather dumb name for this mount

Indeed. It is implied to tell someone to go away -- like get stuffed, or eff off, etc, but at the same time, explicitly (and rather graphically) means something else too:

go away and get sod-o-mized -- get bent
go away and have done to you what we do to turkeys at Christmas -- get stuffed
etc.

Language is fun like that.

First don't bend horses, they don't like it and it might break them, this one recommending riding them rather than shipping them by mail and trying to save on stamps.

Fish slapping on the other hand is fun, recommend using an 50 cm long flatfish with an long and wide tail for better grip.
