If you have 12/12 tickets, and summon the cake but don't loot the tickets - and then go spend 10 so you have room - and summon the cake again, it no longer offers the tickets even though you didn't loot them. You just lose them.

Yes. However, until you use the cake, I am pretty sure there are no tickets in it. I think you only lose the tickets if you peek inside and don't take them before the cake disappears.XBox EU/NA:@ElsonsoJannus

There's nothing to loot, technically, as it's not a container. If you Use the cake, you gain +2 tickets. Any tickets over the max of 12 are automatically lost.PC NA @Ertosi♠♦ My Team ♥♣

Sigh... We went like 36 hours without one of these threads.
Once again. If you "lose" tickets you made a conscious decision for 3 straight days that led to your "predicament".
On the day you went from 8 to 10. Could have bought a berry/feather/page/pet

The highest prize cost is 10 tickets.
The highest ticket gain per day is +3 for some events.
A 12 ticket cap ensures that as long as you are spending them when able, you'll never be forced to lose tickets (9 +3 = 12). Petoften✭✭✭I have no problem with the 12 limit. I need to click the tickets to loot them, so it's perfectly reasonable contrary to the jerky post above, to expect that if I don't click them they will remain available. They don't.
It's not as if we click the cake for no reason - it also has the exp bonus. So if we're playing on a char and want the exp bonus, and plan to buy something at the impresario later to free room for more tickets, we have to give up the exp bonus.
Even that wouldn't be so bad if we knew how it would work, but it's badly designed and there's no reason to expect the tickets you don't click and loot to disappear. They shouldn't, but a few misguided whit knights will scream how great it is they do.1 -

✭✭✭✭✭I wish they’d increase the cap. There is always a day between change over (since the first time they introduced event tickets) that I have 12\12 and nothing to spend it on. It happened to me at least 4 times already.
