The lost art of taking screenshots

In this day and age of streaming, screenshots seem to of become a lost art.
Taking them in Anaglyph 3D (requiring Red-Cyan glasses) has been lost/forgotten by these streamer's.
A picture is worth a thousand words and takes far less time to view q;

I made a trip to the city of Alinor in Summerset and took some 1080p screenshots in Anaglyph 3D.
I reduced them to 80% so they would fit on the screen.
you will need to find/borrow/craft a pair of Red-Cyan Anaglyph glasses to view these in 3D

This is the Waterfall on the east side of Alinor:

I then moved on to the Colossal Aldmeri Grotto Docks and took these two screenshots of one of the ships:

Be warned. It might require a bit more skill to capture an Anaglyph 3D image then to stream a video

the viewmaster is more like the VR headsets you use with your smartphone and require's two images:

like these left/right images

viewing these two images on a smartphone though a VR headset would be like the 1955 viewmaster
and give the same 3D effect as the above images q;

or for those limited to a smartphone VR headset:

grab this image and display it on your smartphone to view though your VR headset

that is if your not afraid of going CROSS-EYED...

Uhm... I'm sorry, what is the point you're trying to make? What fault have streamers did (Although I fail to see how they are relevant at all in this case).

I take screenshots frequently. Here is one of me and my girlfriend, depicting the classic videogame trope, take a guess which one (Hint: It's one that makes Social Injustice Barbarians screech like howler monkeys):

Also I have NO idea why you thought it was a good idea to put those screenshots through 3D. It doesn't enhance anything, except making people using just their eyes a little nauseated.

Interesting way of looking at it. I look at it as Man = Big, Strong, Armored and heavily armed. While Woman = Thin, beautiful, half naked and have large breasts.

games have been programed in 3D for years, but few optens have been given to view the true 3D effect.
LED Shutter Glasses was one of the better ways until microsoft killed it!
as for anaglyph red/cyan glasses, a simple search on the web will give lots of options for those who
want to experance the 3D effect.
all you need is two screenshots taken about 2.5" apart and a program to convert them to anaglyph 3D
plus the anaglyph glasses to view the image.
out in the real world you can take 2 pictures about 2.5" apart and get the same effect
search the web, there is free anaglyph software out there to convert images

I noticed that too but thought the funnier joke was about men not asking for directions.

I don't go ballistic over the sight of a half naked woman in a video game. But when I see that I think she would get killed easily for not being covered in armor. Bare skin is easier to stab. I guess that's the reason fur the "big, strong man in full armor" next to her, assuming that she can't or won't fight for herself. Lol silly.

True enough about your second paragraph. After all, she is a sorceress, and she needs a big strong man to keep the enemy distracted while she pelts magic at anything that would like to harm us. It's definitely a fun time, and it's good practice for tanking, with a dynamic of self-sustain and threat holding in play.

Sorry, can't do 3D stuff - I have vertigo, and what stuff like that does to my insides is not something I even want to think about. The last movie I saw in a theater was Star Wars: A New Hope. Because I almost didn't get out of the theater without a major problem.... And that was when my doctor diagnosed early onset vertigo.

That was 40+ years ago. Today, my vertigo is much worse. Sometimes just swinging the camera a bit too fast in game will - um - cause issues. I would have liked to see your shots, but sorry, I just can't.

What are you using to make your game look so good? Or are you doing it in post?

panorama images are best done in 360°

Arcsoft used to make a free viewer for 360° panorama's, but it's lost in the past

I have over ~3800 screenshots taken of this game since I started playing in 2014, just checked

Probably at least 1/3 of those are automatic screenshots captured by the Photographer addon, for quest completion, achievements, etc...

Problem is most of them suck, since I have to play the game in potato mode since ~Summerset patch, due to low FPS while in combat... so they are not worth sharing at all, IMO.

I wish I could play the game at 60 FPS everywhere as I used to be able to do, and not have it tank to 20 FPS as soon as I enter combat... so I can capture screenshots that are worth sharing

That looks like Addons. Turn those off. Also you're in a group, those icons can't be turned off.

I don't know. Reminds me of my cat and myself when she's trying to get me to put more food in her bowl.

"Look, Dana." says I "It already has a bunch of food still in it."

I also take screenshots quite frequently. I love taking screenshots of some epic moment in battle or something like a sunrise on Summerset. (Let's face it, Summerset is like the most beautiful zone ever.) Something amazing and really scenic.

Now I've taken a lot of screenshots over the years. I only keep the best or memorable ones like reaching lvl 50 on my first character and such. But these 2 are my favorite by far.

Fighting Nocturnal and using Dawnbreaker.

Shortly after I got the Nascent Indrik when it was new.

2. Merging them with Autopano Pro
3. Doing Photoshop color-tone correction
