With all the complaints about sets, skills, balance, counterplay and player options in general. Why haven't you done X (below) yet?

- Why are the skills line limited to 5 skills and 1 ultimate usually? what's stopping you from adding additional skills to skill lines? Would it really be a problem if a skill lines say had 7 skills in it? or two ultimates? or 10 skills? The undaunted skill tree in particular could use some love.
- On the same note why are skills only limited to two Morphs? why couldn't there be Any number of morphs available?
- Why is there only 2, 3 and 5 piece sets? Why not make 10 piece sets or even 12 piece sets?

I'm an IT guy and I really believe it would be an easy database addition to implement these ideas.

    The number of morphs per skill really bugs me. Especially on class skills where one morph is a stamina morph. They spent a lot of effort in developing deep combat; it's a shame they want to maintain such a shallow and obvious illusion of choice with skill morphs it's honestly depressing.

    The database addition is probably easy.

    Its the game balancing in all levels of PVE and PVP content that's hard.

    Additionally, the limited bar sizes force players to make deliberate build decisions, which also encourages group play which is inherent to all MMOs.

    Yeah balancing is an ongoing thing but let's be real, sets don't need to be balanced (they aren't right now)

    I think we would all appreciate more options and dynamic play even if it throws balance into chaos for a bit.

    Meh, I don’t like some of the morph choices now. Like on the same character I might want to heal and dps, and morphs usually make you choose one or the other. Stam vs Magicka are okay, but the dps vs healing ones blow.
    Looking for any guildies I used to play with:
    Havoc Warhammer - Alair
    LoC EQ2 - Mayi and Iskiab
    PRX and Tabula Rasa - Rift - Iskiab
    Or anyone else I used to play games with in guilds I’ve forgotten

    Instead of a new class next chapter (after Elsweyr), a new skill for every class!

    I'd rather have:

    * Stable servers
    * Game & Game Engine Optimizations (DX12, please.)
    * Bug Fixes
    * Good performance in general. (Better multi-core support, etc.)

    I would give up an entire year's worth of content updates for those things. Could you imagine what this game would look like (and how well it would run, no less..) fully utilizing the DX12 API?

    Also, balance in this game would be a breeze if they essentially had two skill templates to work with. If they did this, they could just implement coefficient changes on a PvE or PvP basis, without nerfing something in to the ground that was incredibly useful for a lot of PvE players, simply because it was "overperforming" in PvP and people whined about it.

    You know, like Uppercut and its morphs. (Although I am a firm believer that Dizzying Swing is grossly over-budgeted and needed a nerf of some kind. The base ability and Wrecking Blow were perfectly fine and honestly should be instant attacks.)

    "there must be only 2 morp options perskill"
    "all skill lines can have 5 skills"
    "all skill lines can have 1 ultimate maximum"

    Those are not needed.

    Set piece bonus thing may have negative effects so they should implement that with caution. No need to push ZoS for that.

    It wouldn't just be a database implementation. There would be lots of functionality that needed updating within a majority of the class libraries, as well as lots of UX updates. I don't foresee this level of change happening, unfortunately.

    If balance is your goal, adding more skills and abilities is NOT the best first step towards fixing that problem.

    No, it is a good step. Want to buff stamsorc but all morps&skills are used by magsorc? Add 3rd to one you like with stam cost and stamsorc is buffed without nerfing magsorc. This way, devs wont cause new problems while fixing old ones.

    But all skills on Sorc arent used by magic. Some arent used by anyone. They also have an entire skill line that could be re-worked to be usable by stamina. More skills means more variables in the balance equation. There is just no way around that.

    The most balanced game ever (in this format) would be if there was only one class, 5 skills and an ultimate. Sure it would be boring, but it would be balanced. Any deviation from that basic setup adds variables to the balance equation. Now for the most part, that is a good tradeoff because we will typically trade perfect balance for a bit more diversity. But ESO is already immensely complex. 3 Class lines, soon to be 6 classes, multiple guild, world, and weapon lines, etc. Balance is also one of the biggest complaints currently (although I do think its as good as its been in years). Adding a 3rd selection of morphs would throw a huge wrench in that without question.
