Should I race change?

So my main for the last five years was a high elf sorc. After Murkmire, I realized magsorc was ehhh so I race changed to an orc StamSorc.
Now with Elsweyr, and Arne StamSorc main move being nerfed, should I race change back to a magsorc?
This is for PvP btw

Maybe diversify and create a couple different characters?

Touché...I have 10 toons. I just HATE the 1-50 grind

Racechanging to chase the flavor of the month is a loosing game. You will forever face this very question, as things get nerfed on one side, and buffed on the other, then a while later buffed on one side and nerfed on the other...

Personally, I would suggest you either forget about what is "most effective" and play what you -enjoy- instead; or make multiple characters and switch to playing whichever is currently riding high on the winds of change...

That is the change to stamsorc, did not notice anything on PTS.
Race change to Dunmer or Khajiit and you can jump magic / stamina / magic.
And make more Khajiit, this is easy once you have two

Stam sorc is fun too but not on the level of magsorc brokenness imo.

This is the primary reason I have as many characters as I do. Most need some work if I was actually going to use them, but they exist so that if my main character becomes horrible to play I have lots of other options. All are max CP except for 2, the rest would just need some skyshards and other grindy bits done. So for me, I don't really have to do swapping of builds like that because I have a stam and mag version of everything pretty much ready to go.

Pretty much I went to an orc for PvP and for a harvesting speed build.
There’s not really a magic harvest build.
I just am trying to avoid the level up grind lol.

Magsorc is top dog. If you have meteor unlocked on that character then I say race change to an Altmer, and make it mag then level up an Orc Stam sorc so that you'll never have to do this again.

You're kidding? That's the easy bit.

With training equipment and double xp, like the current event, 8 hours running dolmens will get a character to max level. Quicker if you use xp scrolls or ambrosia.

Horse training will take you 6 months though, if you haven't already done that.

Just make a Dunmer. They are almost as good as Orc for stam builds, and better than Altmer for mag builds.

They're just going to change the class again at some point. Pick whichever you like the best and stick with it, you can always make the other an alt when you can be bothered.

Wait till it goes live and if you find playing a stam sorcy a miserable experience, then yes switch your race. It is better then having a dust collector.

You can just delete it and grind up another one too. It only takes a few days when doing it efficiently.

I hope it works out and you feel that enjoyment again, making friends in Cyro xD. I always enjoyed stam sorcys, quite sad that Zos has stopped caring about build diversity and the original classes.

I like the stam sorc ALOT. But I changed bc I though magsorc was dead, but it’s clearly not. The thing that I don’t like about my mag sorc is the fact that he’s my crafter and they don’t make Magicka Harvesting Builds

These are sound words.

In MMORPGs there are two things that ring true.

Things are always changing.
No matter how much changes things remain the same.

Play what you enjoy and you will be good at that. Chasing trends where you have to change race often is never a good choice.

Also, as someone mentioned, it is not a bad idea to have more than one class/character.

But someone has to pay for new content. Better him than me.

Everybody - use a race change token every patch to keep up with the flavor of the month.

Seriously, though - 10 characters and none of them are "playable"?

Why Altmer and not Breton for PvP?

Because it allows you to use Bright Throat + Spell Strat without having to be concerned about your stamina sustain.
