what would you all say is the best race/class combo to fulfill all the roles, tank, heal, stamdps and magic dps. I know I would have to change gear, cp, and attribute points around.

✭✭Are you wanting one character to be able to all of those, or are you asking what's best for each one?
My understanding was that Imperial was intended to be the all-rounder, as it was added on outside the Alliance groups which each had a tank, a healer and a DPS race. Whether they succeeded is another matter.Edited by ghastley on May 2, 2019 7:12PM0 -

Demra✭✭✭Maybe Templar dark elf. Mag templar is best healer plus good dps and stamplar can tank well, solo and dps is good. Dark elf gives damage and max stam with magicka so will work for both mag and stam character.3 -

For example Dark Elf/Khajit - are really the only classes you benefit from passives by playing magicka or stamina
Unless you're a min/maxer it doesn't really matter in the long run.

People may claim whatever they want about good templar tanks and NB healers and I believe that with due experience to class-role any combination might have it's just niche. But in practice wardens are only one perceived as both good healers and tanks and as stamden you may provide competitive dps numbers. If you don't wanna fight with the prejudice go warden. If you want to fight with prejudice then sorc.0 -

I would second this as a first choice, but wouldn't Warden work fairly well, too? It seems to be a bit of an unfocused class, and not really BiS in any way, but might lend itself to a flexible build?Taking stealth away from the Bosmer is like taking magic away from the Altmer, making Nords allergic to mead, or making Orcs pretty.1 -

✭Templar or Warden will allow you to explore most build options in the game with the fewest sacrifices. Templar is a strong healer, decent DPS, and has moderate tanking abilities. Wardens are great healers and tanks with moderate DPS. Technically all classes can do everything - it's more of a question of how much extra work is required to perform a role outside of the class' primary intended design:
Sorcerer: DPS
DK: Tank
Templar: Healer
NB: DPS
Warden: Healer/Tank
Necro: DPS/Tank

However its nothing wrong with stamina warden dps. And yes Dunmer or Khajiit however race: less important than class, 5-7% dps difference between bis or worst in slot. Less important for healers or tanks.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
