Is Dunmer invulnerability to Burning good enough to pass on other races for a Vampire ?

fxeconomisteb17_ESO
I was just thinking to change my Nord Vampire NB.

While Dunmer looks interesting, I am looking a lot at Redguard and Imperial.
I block and bash a lot.
Basically I use Vampire for the Drain as a "panic button".

"Is it true her wounds healed on their own ? Yes" No s***, at 75% health regen penalty!

I was a vampire like you, but then I took an idea to the head...

I have a stage 4 vampire Dunmer and it's been months since I fed to not be at stage 4. I've never really had a problem, or haven't paid enough attention to attribute it to vampire weakness to fire. I can heal through fire damage pretty well.

I haven't played another race as vampire so I can't relate to troubles those characters may have with fire damage, but I just wanted to chime in and say personally as a Dunmer vampire I don't notice a problem with fire. I'm only a vampire for magicka passives.

@fxeconomisteb17_ESO if you look at nord and dunmer, you can achieve the same resistances, but have 50 more wd and more stam. If you don’t need ult gen and want a higher damage cap and want to min max, go dunmer or orc.

But you can’t minor maim a nord with frost. I was playing nord Stam DK for a minute in the newest changes. Tried my same Stam DK setup on my dunmer and it performed better. It doesn’t really matter unless you’re trying to min max.

Stage 4 dunmer nb, it’s nice..plus i can swap between mag and stam just by resetting a few things instead of using a race change

Dumner, Kajiit, Highelf, Nord, Imperial all vamps, and all stage 4. I don't even notice the extra fire damage.

Alot of people run about in Stage 4 and unless you are sneaking/using that last passive there is no point. Stage 3 is enough.

Also, someone replied when i asked about the mitigation level many moons ago and i recall dunmer passive mitigating around 16% fire damage, this might have changed.

I believe the Dunmer Resist Flame passive only adds 3.5% mitigation to fire damage.

Immunity to the burning status effect sounds stronger than the actual flame resist

    Dunmer flame resistance:
    2310 / 664 = 3.5% effective fire damage mitigation.

    Vampire flame damage debuff:
    0% / 15% / 20% / 25%

    You be the judge!

For those curious the "X elemental resistance buff" is calculated the same way spell or physical resistance is calculated 33200/50=664 points of resistance = 1% damage mit.
