I mean the server issues are annoying, but I still would take them over the horrible latency EU players get on NA servers.

I've tried to do content on PTS and it's horrible.

So eu players have an even less good experience averaging 200+ ping?

If Na server plays anything like PTS, no thanks. I average 240ms ping there from Northern Germany.
Animations glitch out because if lag, weaving becomes a chore.

Why is there no "get a proper working eu server"?

I don't want to transfer. I just want my purchased account-wide stuff to be truly account-wide, so I can simply jump in and play on whichever server I want, without missing all my DLCs and clothes.

When I spend my crowns on the EU side, they are also deduced from my US crown pool, and the other way around, so obviously the servers talk to each other in some way. Why can't they also share the data about the actual stuff I bought? :p

The servers are not talking to each other. When you purchase something the crowns are deducted from your account. When you log onto the other server you can see that you now have less crowns but that server has no idea what you spent them on.

Also the crowns are account wide. The stuff you buy with the crowns are not. It probably should be but ZoS is fairly clear about things purchased should be purchased on the server you wish to use them on.

No, because OP did not think through the poll and created or intended to make a very biased poll.

Zos should remedy the situation, fix EU as that is the most logical answer (that OP ignored). It is not a great idea to force EU to deal with latency since some likely have a significant ping to NA server location.

I don't see why not, EU players can even give zos a free server stress testing.

If EU plus NA populations can actually work fine on NA, then they can stop using the "there're too many people play on EU, so here's your login queue." method.

No, that is not the solution since the reason EU has had issues recently is because of an increased population. That is something OP seems to not understand since their idea would just make the problem worse if not resolved as Zos is working on doing with EU.

I'm starting to think we have to make things worse for the NA server too. But I'm not sure a working solution for the NA server would work for the EU too... since it has happened way too many times that EU was dead while NA was just working fine.

Both EU and NA must be merged. And i dont mean achievments and characters.
Only Chapters are shared! Ist silly how i have all DLCs on EU but on NA i need to buy them again.
I pay to upgrade my game. Not my regional account...
And no i dont plant to move to NA/ neither i buy my crowns with ingame gold.
Save me your criticism and trolling.

the problems are probably related to the amount of people on the EU server - you would just transfer the problem....don't worry ZOS said they will expand their server capacities...problems are being worked on, give it one or two weeks....

What they should do is fix the EU server properly, instead of half arsed fixes, and stop treating EU players like 3rd world citizens.

It's bordering on racism the way they treat us << tongue in cheek, before anyone throws there toys out of the pram.

First of all; I am from northern Europe, and I play regulalrly both NA and EU.
When theres zergs running around, there isa small difference in favour of NA.
When theres no zergs around just small groups I have less lag and better connection to NA than EU. EVEN IF it says I have 200+ frames. I can not explain it, but for ME personally, game performs MUCH better on NA than EU.
There are hardly no loading screens NA when running around the map. I think I have xperienced ONCE in 4 months a port loading screen which was longer than 4 secs.
I have never so far crashed when approaching a keep under siege in NA.
Worst part of moving is actually NA sotha ep. Biggest *** and zergbads eso.

first things first - I don't want my acc to be transferred immediately. I do want however to have possibility to do so *if* problems with server persist and there is no way to scale the server up to match the demand.

That is - if the problem is user base load spreading giving that option should allow people who are not bound by relationships/memberships to move freely and offload the server spreading the peak usage.

    No, EU is fine
Sadly I think a transfer wouldn't be healthy for the EU server.

However, I think ZOS should make it more player-friendly to play on both servers: If you buy something with crowns or you get a crown gift, you should get it on both servers. For example, I've bought several DLC with crowns, but I've got them only on EU. When I created a NA character yesterday and I realized I didn't even have Any Race Any Alliance there, it was a bummer.

I guess it would be ok for me if players could transfer their accounts via customer service on a case-by-case basis, definitely if someone moves to another continent for example.

I don't have a good ping on NA, it's in Open World Tamriel similar to primetime in Cyrodiil on EU - so mostly at 200 ping. It doesn't feel good and I personally wouldn't want to play like that. Offering transfer without solution would implicate that ZOS supports it as a solution, while it is not a solution. ZOS shall not be able to ignore their responsibility by saying "oh, we understand, but if you are not satisfied by EU server performance, you can always transfer to NA". Instead of a transfer ZOS should improve server performance on EU.

No to transfer. The NA is also experiencing a growth in players and is at the limit of its capability.

Also no to merger, the cultures of the EU and NA are too vastly different. The friction caused by the two playerbases would cause way too much drama.

I wouldnt call trashy performance and daily maintenances bugs (besides the actual bugs, of which some exist for 4 years and persist until today), but ok.

To be honest, if they did allow that, then the NA server would quickly become the new EU in terms of performance.

What about NA players play on an EU server and that EU server works good. Would you? 150ping from east coast. and further west you are, the worse the ping gets up to 250. Would you like that?

Fun fact, The EU server is located in Frankfurt. I live in germany. ~500km away. I directly ping a server in Frankfurt. 25-30ms ping. Yet ZoS manages to get me up to 180 ping ingame(+ the lag that comes with it) on the regular.
    That really is funny.

I love how the OP did not even add the "ZOS should fix their EU servers" option.

Yeah, it's that impossible, given the records.
