Is there a trick to it?
Some say it works fine but still missing those keys, do you have to abandon the old quests to get a share to work.

You can take a pledge one day, and turn it in anytime later. Maybe ZOS doesn't want you to save different pledges on alts, and then do multiples every day. In addition to regular abuse, with the currently running event this would be abused extra (just as solo dailies sharing), guilds would probably have all available pledges saved up before week 4 started, and grind them repeatedly all week long.
Yes they could make it so that you can only share today's pledges, but that would require touching 6 years old code that just works.

✭✭✭✭✭I don't disagree. What I would like though is for Undaunted guild pledge quests to go into my quest journal under Guild instead of in the relevant zone. Just like the way Bolgrul's Undaunted guild delve quests go into guild section of my journal (and the guild dailies from the MG and FG). Where pledges currently go is inconsistent and harder to use. Now what zone is that silly dungeon in?PC NA(no Steam), PvE, mostly solo3 -

Who's riding a high horse here? You can do two sets of pledges in one day even now, you don't need to have the whole group on the same pledge.
It's obvious that pledge quests were intended to provide a limited amount of rewards per day. If you were somehow able to circumvent that limit, turning in 10 pledges to one NPC every day, that would be abuse.
