Is Eidetic Memory unlocked account-wide?

I have an alt that has completed the Mages Guild quest line.
I have another alt that has not completed said quest line.
On this alt, i can see the Eidetic Memory section and read the books - but of course only those actually read by this alt.
But the fact that the section appears at all to me is new: i though that Eidetic Memory had to be unlocked per-character, instead it seems to be per-account.
I hope this is not a bug and it's just me not knowing things, because this is a wonderful surprise for me!

Are you sure it is not just the mages guild lorebooks? Because you get access to "Shalidors Library" even before unlocking EM as I recall...1 -
LeinadOrarogep✭✭✭I’m 100% sure it’s the Eidetic Memory section, I have separate sections for Shalidor’s Library and Crafting Motifs.
I noticed that another alt does not have Eidetic Memory: I believe it is visible if you at least begin the Mages Guild quest line.0 -

There's an option in the Lorebooks addon that allows chars to see the eidetic even though they haven't unlocked it yet. Maybe that's what's happening for you.2 -
