It's Time - Update Meridia / Coldharbour

It has been years. That elf is still lying on the floor of Meridia's temple, slowly dying. Meridia still has nothing new to say after all the events since the base game main quest.

At minimum, Meridia should have some new dialogue or be directly involved with the quests in Summerset Isle, regarding contacting her for help. It's strange I have to find her shrine when I can simply walk up to her in Coldharbour. Or maybe she should vanish from the temple. Whatever it takes, make it more immersive, lore-friendly, and interesting.

When havng such thoughts, always consider how much effort for how much effect, and if ZOS might spend that much effort (aka, paid employee time)

Can they monetize this? Nope? Then its unlikely to happen, and at best we might get to see meridia somewhere else someday...

    I know.

I still keep hoping that someday they will update a lot of NPCs with new visuals, like... give Naryu her Morag Tong armor back in Deshaan as well; just as an way to showcase "cool stuff" they can later dangle before people in the crown store... and to mix new visuals into old regions.

    But... alas...

I've honestly never set foot inside that Cathedral since completing the Planar Vortex line. I rarely even go back to Coldharbour itself either, I just don't like it there.

A little funny how after all this time, I could go back and find the King STILL dying on the floor in the corner.

Same sort of thing with Bleakrock. Village is still burning, and Covies still inhabiting it despite their eastern invasion being utterly repelled after Stonefalls questline

Honestly the base zones of ESO need an update.

Like it bothers me that we explore nearly all Valenwood yet we see so few unique fauna, despite the forest being filled to the brim with life

We have not even gotten Bosmer themed pets that come from Valenwood

Same sort of thing with Bleakrock. Village is still burning...
...which is a far more grating dissonance, especially since the other "starter isle" regions are re-visit worthy for leisurely strollings, and Bleackrock or Bal Foyen... more a painful reminder as it never gets fixed after you complete the beginners questline there.

For the bosmer, those are not "pets", but "snacks" :p;)
Seriously tho, give them time. They will get earound to valenwood pets, eventually.

Personally I am still hoping for a "Search for Falinesti" DLC someday, takijng you to daedric planes, until you manage to reopen a connection to whatever demiplane of nature that bosmer city has snuck off to. That would be a great opportunity for them to do loads of new bosmer themed stuff after all...

I can see Meridia being involved in a future DLC in some manner, either a main character in the story of supporting. I see no reason for existing stories to be changed.

Cold Harbor is a good story as it is. No reason to change it for the sake of changing it which seems to be what is being suggested.

Is it hard to make it so that the phasing thing switches to a blank slate on server reset or something.

Would love to know what the people of Bleakrock used to build their houses, they still haven’t burn down.

I agree that the old zones need to be brought up to scratch visually.

But I doubt we'll see any new phasing added or change to the end state of any questlines.

What are you even talking about? Nobody is saying change the coldharbour story. My post was about updating Meridia/temple post-main-quest instead of her being oblivious about her involvement in other/newer questlines, and having the dead king dying forever, and having a certain person "missing" still, etc.

Meridia's light form sure, but she was undercover in a mortal like form so that one shouldn't really be changed

Speaking of NPCs who are 'stuck' at the end of quests...

Queen Ayrenn is still stuck in that shack in Marbruk. Alone. No guards... no witnesses.

Just thought I'd put that out there.

These are the ones I see most - Captain Arakh and the Romori brothers. They've been posted there, guarding the bridge to the Reaver Citadel, for five whole years without a break.

They could finally add a jewelry crafting table to the Hollow City, can't be that much work.

I absolutely love the hollow city would be awesome if we could get a visual update.

I can't help feeling that the Hollow City would have been radically altered by what happened to Molag Bal at the end of the Main Quest, and by what happened to Meridia in the Summerset story line. Maybe it just shouldn't be there anymore. It's not like Meridia really cares what happens to the city or inhabitants. For her it's just a weapon that she has thrust into Molag Bal's anatomy.

That area sadly kills immersion so much. Just when I think I'm in a fantasy world that exists all on it's own I go to rawkla and see those NPCs doing that bit like it's a pirate show at disney land.
