What is the meta race for Necro PvE DPS(stam/mag) and PvP?

I have been getting mixed responses on this one.

So some people are saying, it is the usual Altmer for magicka, Orc for Stamina Necro PvE DPS. Some others are saying Breton, Redguard/Bosmer due to sustain nerfs on tristat food.

Yet, I am hearing from some of the best parsers in two of my guilds that Khajiit is beating every race for both types of Necro DPS due to the critical execute passive.

Really confused

RIght now Necro's biggest struggle appears to be with resource management, so I would say the races with passive regen are going to win out over the raw damage boosts of other races. Time will tell.

With intelligent use of CP, any minor racial differences can be accounted for. I'll end up spending more CP in the passive stam and magic regen skills then some of my other characters.

Technically, there is no more meta race builds because of the new racial passives but some races will have a slight benefit based on their new racial passives. It depends on what you are looking for and how you want to play.

    Magicka:
    Breton - for sustain
    Altmer - for damage
    Argonian - for survival
Dunmer - for reduced fire damage passive to negate vampire debuff
Khajiit - for extra recovery for health and stamina plus high crit

    Stamina:
    Reguard - for sustain
Orc - for damage (must use gold food for sustain to get close to the Redguard's natural sustain)
    Argonian - for survival
Nord - for maximized ult regen
Woodelf - passives really benefit WW form
Khajiit - for extra recovery for health and stamina plus high crit
Dunmer - for reduced fire damage passive to negate vampire debuff

Imperials- for beginner or veteran players who just want max stats:
1.) beginners like the max health and stamina pool for survivability and for spammable stamina abilities
2.) veteran players will have the knowledge to pick sets to overcome sustain and damage problems

Dunmer is close to Altmer/Orc. Woodelf is virtually same as Redguard.

But what I am actually interested is the highest meta dps race.i know most races are viable. But one must be the best on paper.

Everything I am seeing from testers is saying the opposite. Necro sustain seems good to the point of being slightly OP (like everything else on the class).

That is simply not true. Most of the choices for race depend on tradeoffs between damage and sustain. Do I go high elf (orc) for more damage or breton (redguard) for sustain. How do you possibly account for that with CP. The sustain and damage trees are separate.

Now of course, CP can be used for fine tuning a build, but some races are flat out better than others for certain types of builds, and nothing you can do with CP is going to change that.

Orc for stam. It has everything but sustain. Get gold food, and you have everything.

Bosmer for attractiveness, as passives will change in the future (they have multiple times now), at least you'll still be pretty.

Honestly I’m enjoying making use of the Khajiit crit damage passive since you hit 95%+ crit in execute

Whether it’s BiS is highly debatable but there’s not really any sustain issue as far as I was able to tell

Orc will be best. Khajiit/Dumer after for Stam.

People keep saying "The Khajiit Crit will be good in execute" Yes, except... Orc's crits hit harder than Khajiit's for literally no reason lol. 258 Weapon Damage > 10% crit damage.

It is my understanding that Orc crit damage is actually higher than Khajiit crit damage, hasn't someone done the math and parses last patch showing it? +258 WD +2000 stamina seems to get higher crits than +10% crit damage +750 stamina.

It is. I don't think it's hundreds and hundreds on damage higher, but Orc's crits hit harder than Khajiit. ( I said it should be increased to where Khajiit's crits hit harder but people said I was dumb because they get "sustain" - a whopping 85 ).
