I've heard the Necromancer class has the power to raise Deltia's Templar.
You mean the huge percentage of play the warden has seen in competitive groups when it released? (0.1% btw)Jabbs_Giggity wrote: »
Completely agreeJabbs_Giggity wrote: »Seems to me like current direction is removing base classes from competitive play in order to sell new classes with everything they have taken away from base classes.

What history? Wardens were just whatever out of the gate what are you talking about.
Pve trial heads are getting elsweyr regardless, casual overland questing players and RPers are getting elsweyr regardless. Brand new players interesting in coming to eso arent going to give 2 *** if a new class is potentially overtuned.
The only group that your *** theory could even apply to is the pvp crowd who would otherwise have no interest in elsweyr content outside of a steong new class but at that point you are really pushing it. Nothing about warden in pvp was so grossly imbalanced that became disruptive to said environment. And if you are actively and regualry playing eso there is a good chance you are going to pick up the chapter anyways. The actual amount of money on the line for the "im going ti wait and see if necro is overpowered before I decide to purchase the chapter" demographic is god damn chump change man.
Zos is far from perfect but if there is any naive armchair theory for this genre is when people think developers intentional while being descrete, overtune a new class to sell more boxes.... lol. Think about the actual margins they are looking at for even considering such an approach, jesus christ.
Tin foil hat indeed.

Wow. So volatile. Did not know that this would grind your gears so badly! In any case, yes this is mainly biased towards PVP - which is my right to be opinionated toward. You seem like one of those...ugh what's the words...Elitest PVE'ers? Yes, about right. IF, strong if...you were a regular PVP'er and actively followed how strong Warden has and still is a top tier Class for PVP - don't want to get your panties in a bundle by not exclaiming PVP directly...than you obviously have no idea what a class like this with it's current tool-kit will do to Cyrodiil.
History has shown us that with introduction of the Warden class, Templar class was removed of BiS for healing class and watered down in tool-kit, via nerfs in order to saturate the Warden for sales. Now, looking at PTS notes not only is the Templar STILL a low tier class, other than mediocre at best healer, ZOS has nerfed NB in to the ground (RIP Magblade) to saturate the insane damage + healing potential that Necro will bring.
Some "theories" to backup how PVP will go after Necro launch.
1. Groups of Necro's running high damage builds and utilizing an Ult that gives instant 30K health - as if the Tanky/DPS Meta hasn't been an issue already...
2. Groups running a Necro to isntantly rez 3 players with use of one Ult. Multiple by two Necro healers = 6 players instant up with no respawn timer (as you would have at a Camp).
3. Zerg/Ball groups. Imagine running a 4-10man ball group. Two Warden Permafrost/S2W builds because plebs will be plebs and not pickup/grind Elsweyr + 4-6 Necro's running the SAME builds because you know...Blastbones = better Sub Assault + an Ult introducing Major Vulnerability and high damage....ugh now factor in the 2-3 dedicated Necro healers slotting Rez Ult.
Please tell me how you do not view that as broken...meanwhile, as stated above - Intended Healing/Damage class nerfed in to gound. #RIPlar. And now high damage burst class nerfed substantially #RIPmBlade (Stamblade will have hard time but adjust).
But hey, what do I know. I'm just a pleb. OP wasn't about "You shouldn't get Elsweyr because it's just dumb" it was intended as opinion that ZOS nerfs base classes to profit gain OP new classes. If it didn't have a class it would be a DLC, not a Chapter.
I honeslty haven't played anything new from ESO from Morrowing+ because PVE is lackluster and boring. But sure you get your goodies off fighting NPC's and "Decking" out your houses

Meanwhile actual endgame player have tested necro, and while stam is performing well, mag is the worst of all dds.
Actual end game player, not people who make up hypothesis (hypothesis not theories there's a difference) hypothesis that many times have proven themselves false.
Blast bones is not better than sub assault for one, it does roughly the same damage unless under major vuln, which lasts for a laughably short time, in which you could line up some burst, but yea... It's also affected by crowd control and you can dodge it i'm pretty sure, you cannot dodge sub assault, you can only hope it doesn't hit, there's a difference, you can block both (next patch).
