[FIXED] Did I miss the secret nerf to Jumping + Movement? Did you?

UPDATE: FIXED WITH ELSWEYR - THANK YOU ZOS

https://youtu.be/OnlUbBOkNSs

OLD:
Is this something that's always been there and I'm now just noticing it? Because I feel like this did not exist prior to approximately 2-3 weeks ago.

https://youtu.be/bpnW6dRN99g
https://youtu.be/AcWxCGHjIBA

I am losing 1-2 seconds of Major Expedition when I combine jump with movement. It's ridiculous. I might as well remove my A button (jump) from my controller. It's ruining combat and the overall fluidity to movement.

Bunny hopping is uinntuitive and looks ridiculous. Running is for horizontal movement, jumping for vertical.

You were jumping backwards and expecting to go full speed?

I'm just going to say no to that too.

I've noticed players not jumping as high either, so the excuse "It makes us harder to hit" is out the window too...not that it was actually true. Never had issues targeting a jumping player.

Good, if this is true. It was absolutely ridiculous looking. Always loved killing a jumper. I'm not a t-bagger, but if I kill you and you jump all the time, I will stand over your body and jump until you release.

I'm sure it's just as annoying as it was for me fighting you..

This was a change made back in TG patch. It made the game feel a whole lot slower and ZOS just swept it under the rug. The game felt 50x better before that patch but I doubt it will change now considering how many salty people that are getting packed up by good players who happen to jump around alot.
Overload rework. Power Overload now does physical damage and grants you the power of a tornado: You throw a brick at the target with a light attack, and you hammer your head into that brick with every heavy attack. We have decreased its Ultimate cost, but increased the chance that you get stuck in the animation.

This is simply unnatural, in real conditions jumping actually increases your speed for a moment due to how physics work. But this is ZOS so what you might expect, ESO is arcade, this game doesn't even pretend to have any kind of realism.

In real life even doing nothing lying on sofa costs stamina :D
Anyway, I don't understand all this anti-jumping picket, we always jumped like everywhere, why it should be another way in ESO?

Because ESO is an MMO and not a first person shooter xD Bunny hopping looks dumb af in ESO. It's always some annoying Sorc who doesn't really want to engage you haha :D

Casting an ability while sprinting always takes you out of Sprint, I thought I saw that as an actual loading screen tip once. I think that's what you're now noticing.

But yes I'm going to agree with others about the bunny hopping.

It’s funny that a game that incorporates magic tries to keep it somewhat realistic by giving it a cost, but you can jump as much as you can spam the button. It should cost stamina. It’s literally (the bunny hopping) a thing in every game now.

It would be great if we had conservation of momentum in the game. The way jumping works right now is always breaking my immersion, and that despite me playing with this broken jumping mechanic since it was introduced.

In the videos I am not sprinting. It's just Major Expedition.

To everyone in this thread with negative comments about jumping: if I actually jump + jump + jump while moving (bunny hopping) it doesn't slow you down like the video shows with a single jump while moving.

Hmm. Maybe it's lag that's making it more obvious then. That seems so long ago lol.

Battlefield 2 was a jumping shooter game. Jumping and bunny hopping while moving forward made you move faster than those who just sprint. And it was really harder to hit you when you're jumping.
In next game, Battlefield 3, they decreased jump height so it's not hard to hit you now, and they made jumping slowing you down so when you're bunny hopping you move slower than if you were just walking.
    It was a great change.
One of the two of us definitely has gone mad. It only remains to define whether this one is the whole world or just me.
