At least they didn't go with that Vampire Lord transformation nonsense.

Would really like some actual offensive abilities as a vampire though, might make the Vampire specific sets somewhat useful.

Don't get me wrong I use the bats sometimes, nothing like the healing one on a selfish tank. Cracks me up in battlegrounds when a few players think they have me beat and I use that ultimate on my DK tank and I go back to nearly full health and counter attack.

I still get killed but I last a bit longer or manage to escape hold out till help arrives.

Hmm. I figured that Stages weren't about strength / power but more civil vs feral... since my Abilities on a few vamps didn't hit any harder or weaker based on the stages 1-4.

Outside of fire damage hurting at stages 1-2 and melts you at 3-4 if you sneeze towards a candle.

This is functionally accurate to the lore. It's more that they're suppressing their nature by feeding; the hungrier they are, the less ability they have to suppress their monstrous curse. Suggesting that the entire reason the player vampires don't lose their mind and start chowing down on everyone is down to sheer willpower.

Morrowind was not the first introduction to vampirism or were critters. I remember in Daggerfall ending up being a vampire a werewolf and even a wereboar if I wasn't careful.

Your forgetting that there are werebears in skyrim too. Although you could not become one.

Little in ESO makes sense. The devs strayed far far away from TES design. It's quite obvious there are either a lot of poorly trained employees there. Either that or an overuse of some type of intoxicants.

You're THAT good, huh? Well, heck, you'd better apply for a dev job right away with Zeni. They need you, obviously!

You've played enough mmos and TES games over the years for long enough to see how shoddy ESO is in comparison? I disagree with you, so I need to work as a developer huh?

This topic again. There was one just like it a few weeks ago.

I said it then and I will say it again. Its meant to be a trade off. You feed you lose some of the benefits but are less weak to fire. You starve you gain benefits but become more susceptible to fire. Its a risk-reward playstyle.

Your looking at it through a very narrow perspective.

They get weaker via taking additional flame damage when they don’t feed. Your ignoring that very important fact that.

I know of players in more casual guilds that do get trials that have been asked by their raid leaders to cure the vampirism because they died to much.

and what raid is that?...normal fungal grotto 1?

PC Vampirism was introduced in Daggerfall:
-Daggerfall vampires could not rest if they didn't feed that day. To regenerate resources they had to use potions or spells.
-Morrowind vampires did not regenerate health when resting and had to use "feeding" (health drain spell) or potions etc.

With Oblivion being balanced for health auto regeneration, vampires had to change and vampirism stages were introduced:
-Oblivion vampires become increasingly stronger by not feeding but also take increasing fire and sunlight damage.
-Same for Skyrim's vampires, but rather than taking sun damage, they get a stat debuff in sunlight.

So ESO follows the Oblivion tradition, and just gets rid of the sunlight effects, which would be impractical in an MMO.

According to you they get to do all the intoxicating drugs they want at work (legality not specified but we can work with it)
AND they can just code whatever they feel like whenever they get around to it...
in your imaginary world... WE'D ALL WANT TO BE DEVELOPERS!

We have two stocked kegerators at work which go well with the Tischfußball table in one of the three kitchen areas. We also have a dedicated video game room for those times when you need some quiet inspirational Alleinsamkeit. Everyone also gets a high end laptop for development (besides a desktop PC of your choice) and we are encouraged to work from home (or any other place with a decent internet connection).

And yes, despite of all that, we still get plenty of work done. I alone just got 4 patents filed for projects i worked on in the last 3 months or so.
