Maintenance for the week of April 6:
• PC/Mac: No maintenance – April 6

Are we going to be back to everyone running nFG1 over and over next week?

Oh if it's just from undaunted quests and trials this is a good thing. Though I suppose I will encounter a fair bit of people who are in no way prepared for vet dungeons:(

Announcement says nothing about Vet. I would expect that almost everyone, even top notch players, will be running on Normal to get pledges over with as quickly as possible and then move on to running pledges on alts.

Very true. And Sai style sheets will be selling for small fortunes

Based off of all the toddler tantrums this week yes. These people don't want to put in any effort they just want the jubilee boxes.

The official announcement says “complete daily dungeon quests”, so if the daily is FG1, you get a box. There’s no mention of needing a group finder. So solo it.

The other day FG1 was one of the undaunted quests, I went ahead and grabbed it to do on Thursday. Come to think of it, you might want to grab the undaunted quest Wednesday and wait to turn them in till Thursday to double up on boxes for that day.

Trial quests are actualy weekly. If you spread them out, you can get 4 boxes per character per day starting this Thursday. I would not do anymore trial quests this week, by the way, if you want get boxes from those.

The way it looks, completing the undaunted or trial earns the box, not just completing any dungeon. It may be funny to read the post about people not getting their reward boxes when they jumped to FG1.

Actually the trial quests are infinitely repeatable, however they don’t award coffers after the first clear of that week. Unless someone who did PTS testing says different, I’ll assume completion of those quests can award one box daily, and reset with the writ timers

So it looks like anyone with toons below L45 is going to be totally stuffed.

They can’t do pledges. So how are all these players going to get anything out of this week’s events?

Do an hour or two of questing with the dozens of exp scrolls provided for free through daily rewards. I usually quest to lvl50 because you hit it in the middle of your third zone

Yeah it's not gonna work, because Maj and Glirion tell you to complete a specific dungeon and kill specific bosses. You can't fool them into giving you a pressie for doing the wrong dungeon. Or at least I don't think you can, if someone finds a way let me know
This you have to do the pledges, normal is just as good but it has to be the actual pledges.

Now you could queue for random and then port to an pledge dungeon. Don't try this outside an full group as other might well have just one pledge left.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

No. Because boxes will drop from doing pledges and those require you to complete a specific dungeon and kill specific bosses. No FG1 exploit allowed this time, thankfully.

    Also trials.

I'm looking forward to running pledges with guildies, many of which have little to no dungeon practice. If I run out of guildies to pledge with, I am probably not going to PUG stuff because as the previous Undaunted event made sorely clear, people's attitudes when PUGing content for rewards are of the worst kind of entitlement.

'Skip this cancer. Port elsewhere. Who cares about content gimme the reward and give it to me now. I CBA killing stuff, I'll just aggro everything and run ahead. You noobs just run. Skip. Only have 20 minutes to play and still have to run pledges on 7 more chars so haul ass. You all should be thanking me for carrying you through this. Got my box. BB noobs. Hope to never have to carry your dumb a $$es again.'

As indicated by ZoS in some previous posts, the anniversary reward boxes in this upcoming week are only given for completing PLEDGES and when getting the Trial WEEKLY reward urns. So, you can get a maximum of
    • Three pledges per day (per character of L45 or higher) plus
    • plus three prior pledges turned in on the first day of the event
    • plus three pledges completed after the daily reset at 2am EDT on Thursday morning
    • seven Trial reward urns per character during the week (*)
    • plus all of the above can be done all over again in the 5th week of the event (and/or other daily repeatable quests, up to the max of 50 per day)
So, up to 37 of the Week 4 reward boxes for at least one character, if you REALLY work hard at it (DLC dungeons take a lot longer), or more reasonably, 16-25 per character, if you just do non-DLC dungeons and skip nHOF. People without DLCs/expansions may also be more limited in which trials and DLC dungeons they can access.

Yeah, from the look of this thread I can't wait to see the whine when the event news specifically says what needs to be done.

And honestly I don't even see the point of the question, if you are after farming Anniversary boxes you want to take the easiest route and run normal pledges, not vet. FG1 or not, normal dungeons don't take long at all.

Zone chat will be juicy until people figure out FG1 doesn't count.

Most of the pledges (Non-DLC) are easy, no need to do them on Vet even if you're not chasing the keys.

Anyone doing FG1 in 10 minutes, is TOO slow. :D

For no other reason other than in 10 minutes can do even Blackheart with a good DD.
Also under 6 minutes BC1 can be done, if the team isn't blind that the doors are open and side bosses can be left alone.
And BC1 is a breeze to do, if people have Fighters Guild passives, because ultimates charge really fast due to everyone been undead.

However what we discussing here is the wrong event.

Pledges cannot be tricked, because need specific bosses to be killed, and hot joining a group won't work either, as some might need to re-run the dungeon killing previous bosses.

So make sure before you kick someone from the group, otherwise the person to fill up might quit also, if you have killed the first boss already.

At least on PC/NA, Wednesday pledges are BC1 and VoM. VoM is easy for groups of 2 or more, and BC1 is easy, period.

Umm. Does anybody know how much time you have to kill the first boss in VoM before he beams you? That looks like it would be the hardest part about soloing.

Severely limiting the number of boxes anyone will get. It’s almost like it was done on purpose to sell event tickets in the Crown Store...

It was almost like every week of the event is tied to specific daily quests... Oh, and that tickets are earnable without even needing to do a single quest (Outside of earning the initial cake) for 5 weeks.

Yes, but the BOXES can contain the weekly pieces. They want people to use tickets to buy them. The first week had a flood of boxes, and each week it slowed down. This next week will be a trickle. They could have adjusted how much dropped based on time to complete. I can easily get 50 boxes in crafting week in the time it takes to get ONE in pledges next cycle.

Well, in week 5 the boxes will be available for ALL the previous quests combined, so you'll able to get pretty much as many as you want.

its states all daily quests, not only the types who gives reward now, who I assume including the prologue quests and other not in the list.
Only thing who don't count is repeatable quests like TG mission bord who can be done over and over.

And yes crafting writs is an obvious winner in speed, remember that you can stock up on quests the day before and deliver once event is life for two sets of crafting writs on character.

Idk if this will be the esiest way to get event boxes. You will first need to be lucky enough to get a quest for FG1. The event info states that you will only get even reward box from daily quests, not for
    completing an activity.

On the other hand I am curious about Craglorn dungeos daily quests. Will those count and give event reward box ?
One of those queats "The Seeker's Archive" can be soloed easily.

You can solo all of them with enough patience. The only one I struggled with was Shada’s Tear, and only the because the two DK NPCs stuck me in an infinite chaining loop over and over

And yes they will count for week 5.

Presumably since it says daily trial quests in the announcement, you’ll be able to run trials each day rather than only receiving rewards with the coffers, which would be incredibly idiotic design
