Patch 5.0...This is my opinion

LamaDellaTempesta97
Let's start with the first Class
-The DragonKnight ... with this patch receives a nice buff for the damage and for the cure all in all there is a class made to resist damage more than to the right ... the nerf to the wings I I'm sorry it's not a 'skill so bad only that a class of magic has no chance to make it against a magik dk because it reflects bullets (not many, but if it is spammed it becomes almost immune) and in zerg it is hateful to see people who only spit their wings.
-The Nightblade ... suffered a nice nerf with this patch. The incapable was the time to make it a normal skill, it was exaggeratedly strong, one of the strongest of the game if we can say. Removing the minor berserker is right, to do damage does not need it so because having to increase even more the damage of a class that already does several, it also applies the off-balance sheet that causes monstrous damage. The removal of the major fracture from the surprise attack is right it already has another skill that applies a major fracture so it makes no sense to have 2 abilities with the same purpose when the surprise attack already has exaggerated damage and can be spammed without problems. One thing I noticed was that with this patch the skill that makes you invisible now lasts 1 second instead of 2.5, it doesn't make sense. It's a class that lives thanks to the invisibility to remove 1 second and a half, it means to destroy completely this class ... If I don't find this class funny but simply hateful, it's not fair, maybe it's just a bug it will be solved at least I hope but staying 1 second is ridiculous.
-The sorcerer ... it seemed to me that we increased the damage on one side and reduced on the other. There is a change that the Daedric curse has made that doesn't make much sense: << has solved a problem in which the AoE detonation of this ability and its morphs could be blocked >>. Why remove the block of this aoe and instead put the block on the guardian's scorch? I'll never understand how they reason ...
-The Templar ... seems to have increased damage and it just didn't have many
-The Warden ... The scorch block I don't know if it's really good I hope, even if now I wonder how to kill a sorcerer with shields and even a scorch block, this means a reduction in the damage of this not indifferent class . Why block the scorch and not the daedrica explosion? The other changes can only be an improvement.
-Cleave ..... one of the most useless skills in terms of damage in the game.
-Uppercut ... no comment ... this skill for some stamina classes is bread. Witchcraft I think is one of the classes that has seen more nerf in the history of the game than all the others, also diminish the damage of this ability that we end up destroying both the sorcerer and warden of sub-assault...
-Befouled in CP ... 55 to 35 is the most sensible thing about this patch.

For the rest nothing to say was just my thoughts on this patch, I hope they change something otherwise they will destroy 3 classes just because the necromancer is coming out.
Please comment on the 5.0 patch

Big changes come yearly, with the chapter release. sometimes they change things every 3 months though. Not really a problem though, as much as people are crying about it, it is an ongoing game and it is healthy for the game that things change.

    My thoughts:

At least the changes look a little gentler than what the old dev team did yay to that.

There are a whole lot of changes so I'm sure there will be some problems. There are so many I really don't have an idea how most will play out.

My sorc has a little cheaper frags and can no do 8 second lightning flood to match the better, 8 second, morph of wall so yay for my rotation. I doubt the cost change will make much difference though. It is miles from sustaining a light attack rotation.

A magica VO gear set, yay. Yay dosen't really cover it. How about YAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY!!!!!!! Hope I can get it without running +whatever, only cheat engine users need apply, mode. It's not like they need the gear anyway, they fully sustain a light attack rotation on every video I have ever seen them post.

You nerfed purple food and drink that was already mathematically almost 20% weaker than blue food. You really should learn basic math. Also, isn't purple food supposed to be better? Now it will be much worse than both basic blue food and blue Wrothgar food. Just because people were using it doesn't mean it was actually stronger.

I'm actually going to try the new mag VO set W/ a Breton race change and Eled in my rotation on PTS to see if I could sustain a full light sorc rotation. It is worth a try but I suspect I would need to loose a lot of spell power in glyps or crit by switching from mothers sorrow to seducer to make it work so I doubt it will be worth pursuing.

I am currently worried for the future of ESO. Population seems like it is in free fall and the cancellation of the North America in-person gathering feels very much like pulling the plug. Kudos on fixing the in-game economy though. Clearly whatever gold shenanigans were happening the last couple years are fixed.

Obviously, you don't play NB much enough to understand how severe the nerfs are and what will be the consequence of those nerfs.

Currently on live NB is good at PvE DPS role and good at PvP.
It is trash when it comes to tank role and more or less trash for a healer role.

After those changes go live, NB will be behind other classes when it comes to PvE DPS and will no longer be good at PvP as it is now (especially stamNB, because we all know how amazingly bad magNB already is). Your average ganker min-maxer will most likely switch to other class and will still be able to gank players successfully. Also the there will be no "reward" anymore as NB is a easy to learn the basic but "hard-to-master" class.
As for the tanking & healing role (that I mentioned are already trash on live server) will be nerfed further. So they will simply stop to exist.

The point is, there will simply be no use for Nightblade class in eso.

Finally, only hardcore fans of this class (or casuals, who only do questing) will probably still play it. But even they will start to struggle as many of the NB tools will be gone.

Ye, that was kinda my point. Only ppl who don't care about what their build is, what quality their gear is etc. will still play as a NB (questing & RP). But even those ppl will most likely see some bumped - up difficulty when doing overland content.

Do you remember what happened at Murkmire patch? Do you remember what kind of shields developers tried to introduce at first PTS week? Did anyone count how many times people said to all those complaining Sorcs (and other classes which happened to use shield) "Just adapt, stop crying" ?

It's true that game changes and skills changes, but it's untrue that we should remain quiet and not question the route which developers try to provide to us. That's why the constructive criticism is a thing, which players should use when underlining concerns. Perhaps then developers could listen and make compromises, just like removal of shield cast time was.
Also it's true that developers did introduce some brainless changes to Nightblades and those are concerns which have been important topics to talk about during this recent week.
(As an example: Unreliable 7 meters range on Merciless heal, which comes with loud, slow, easily dodgeable projectile.)
Many of us already "adapted" and adjusted their builds in PTS for the worst case, but it doesn't mean that we will remain quiet and stop talking about subjects which we see being horrible right now.

I couldn’t agree more. This change just feels extremely lazy. Rather than add more useful foods and drinks they just nerf the few good ones they had so that players will have more options... worse options, but more of them.

Where do people believe they are lacking?

Magplars are doing fine since they have far more options than the stamina counterpart. It's a common mistake people make. You can do really well with even the weakest class of the game, but when you face another player lets say a dk or a magsorc, who are at an equal level as you are, most likely they will win over the stamplar.
The things we (stamplars) lack are:
    1. Basic use of class passives
    2. Reliable ults
    3. Terrible cc
    4. Far too less options for stamina morphs
    5. The best part is we lack any kind of sustain (the only good thing we get that i would consider better than other classes is our clense of negative effects , esp with the current bleed + poison meta)
    6. Complete lack of class heals (stamina users depend on vigor alone to stay alive)
    7. Unlike other classes we don't have a reliable way of mitigating dmg , any dmg we take we have to deal with actively

Most of the people that complain don't clarify what variation of the class they are playing. I have seen some magplars that are complete monsters in pvp. You can do rly well with a stamplar, since they can build to be decent bruisers, but they mostly depend on skills that every class has access to. If you have seen some stamina sorcs and stamina templars complain about lack of identity for stamina users, that's where it comes from.
