Why so many unhappy PVE’ers this time?

In the past cyrodiil events, we had a few pver's who complained that pvp is well, pvp. This time though the forums are full of complaining posts from about pvp.

Bottom line is, nobody is forcing you to do pvp. I hate dungeons and trials and plan on skipping that event. No biggie.

I think it gotten bad because people farming pve questers at quest givers behind a door. That's clearly something that should not happen. There's no fair fight when enemy is loading in.

A lot of people I see who are upset aren't necessarily upset because they die, but because there is a prevalence of groups sitting inside buildings, spamming aoes and killing people before they're even properly loaded in.
That's not PvP, that's PvLoading lol.

A better question is, why are so many self-professed PvPers who usually play on Shor or Vivec, following PvErs to the new campaigns?

It will only apply to the main campaigns which are being renamed to something akin to what a toddler would babble. Most PvP players coming on the forums complaining about pvers complaining know exactly what they're doing. They like to antagonize others in any way possible.

    this.

dying is not an issue, dying is part of pvp. being farmed while you cannot even fight be in a very deliberate goal of preventing you from completing quests - is an issue.

you know how pvpers complain about Cyrodil flipping by people who sweep over the zone, only to switch to a different alliance and flip it, making it more annoying for everyone else to play? yeah, its kinda like that.

I didn't see that on PC NA Vivec this weekend. Not saying it didn't happen but I am curious what platform and campaigns it was so prevalent on.

Removing the ability to place and use siege in those building like they removed doors from towers would be a good. As for the aoe ball group types. Leaving the area is probably the best solution. They will get bored quickly.

Because pvers are making my campaign have a 100+ queue and I'm gonna go elsewhere while I wait.

That's because anyone doing that type of stuff in Vivec got farmed by a multi-faction guild :D In a populated campaign, eventually someone would get tired of hearing about town farming. Too bad for the guys across alliances hoping to farm PvE players, it happened to be a multi-faction guild...

Well and there was action too...

The other PvP events are actual PvP events there you do PvP.
They are great fun with lots of fights.

This event is PvE quests in an PvP zone, yes you can go for the pvp quests but town quests are much faster.
And its lots of ganking and trolling,
Grinding just make you go in circles.

No we are completely aware about week 4, we have just to skip it and wait for week 5. I will add when the event with ticket starter it taken it happened in dungeons and trials.

The only complaint was from PvEers about Fungal Grotto exploit. I'm PvPers and if I do want a event box I do a NM there is no need to complain like you're doing it about week 3.

Because in the past years there were not whole groups of sneaky griefers who enjoyed hunting players that talked to NPC's in non-capturable towns. Sure sometiems it happened but maybe max 1-3 players per whole day not 10-20 players dropping ultis on questers while they talk to NPC's.

You new to the game it hap[pens every year during mid year madness or they run a cyro event, just like when week 4 will start on Thursday we will be hearing complaints about people being kicked from groups for no reason

There are always going to be people not liking events, griefing others or other none sense

These things run their course then its over

Going to be glorious...... I will personally make an exception and next week the "I have my PVP gear on" won't be an acceptable excuse many fake PVE DDs spit out, when caught slacking. :D

Killing people as they load into the room behind a closed door without letting them fight back over and over again, while you’re safe inches away from a quest giver waiting to attack the next person that loads in sounds like exploiting to me

They removed doors on towers for door farming. Pretty sure devs strongly frown on the practice. In the end if it is bad enough it will end up causing some kind of change like no casting or fighting inside those town buildings.

Basically those doing this will ruin another part of the game and get it changed for the worse OR they may remove events from PvP altogether.

    Its very cathartic.

Ever been farming resources only to have some foolio totally mess up the nodes' spawning times on you, or have some fragile thing yell at you for picking a cornflower?

Ever been in a vet dungeon only to have your dps sport a "hybrid" or some other build that makes no sense? Or a tank with light armor no taunts, but an inflated self image?

Ever been raged at for killing a boss before some random person was able to hit it...when you had no idea they were even there?

How about anyone using that goat dance jester's personality running around like a tool?

All of these have made me wish I could kill other players in a PvE zone...for this one week....ONE week, they've entered the thunderdome...

    I think it’s a combination of 4 things;

    1) PvE players (generally) don’t mind PvP aspects of a game as long as they can avoid it.

    2) But... We just had a round of controversial race changes that appear (at least in some aspects) directly driven by PvP concerns.

    3) We are currently going through a round of class changes that appear (in many aspects) directly driven by PvP concerns.

    4) We have an event where the rewards everyone wants are rare, and progress on obtaining the boxes are being hindered by PvP players.

Thus the PvE vs PvP tension.

    @BlueRaven

1 and 4 = They could still avoid it, farm for an hour or two and buy the styles. I grew tired of all the quests last week and just bought them.
2 = still salty about the Bosmer change?
3 = change happens, its gone both ways

Nothing really special about this particular time. Its basically just another day on the forums imo.

My PvP guild will be running groups for vet dungeons and normal trials, same as we do every week, pretty much on our PvP builds. Help from PvE-only players not needed, thank you very much.
