Why do you think a lot of players have been asking for a pve version of Cyrodiil for years?!

I mean i dont agree with that either. If your in pvp ya you should have to pvp. Like if your at a town and there trying to flip it for there dailies then ya, you should have to fight.

but the just sitting there and farming players is what i have an issue with. there not actually participating in pvp like it was intended. There just sitting there killing noobs over and over.

A player killing another player is literally the intention of player vs player. We used to call it PKing back in the day, and it was either in open world PVP, BG's, organized PVP, didn't matter.

The only rule to PVP is that if you are red, you're dead.

ya you kill players in pvp but its not the objective unless its deathmatch. its the gameplay that serves the goals not the goals themselves.

That's not how PVP works....there are no rules that define when you can and can't kill other players... lol.....

If it's open world PVP, if it's cyrodiil, if its a BG, if it's anywhere that allows players to kill other players....if you are red, expect to be dead.

No one says to groups running trials "Hey man so I know the boss fights you're going to just go ham but like...the trash pulls...can you not touch them? Just sort of leave them alone...I know they are part of the "environment" but uh yeah....real PVE is Boss only fighting, killing trash is not REAL PVE....it's FAKE PVE...."

That doesn't sound like nonsense to you?

If one goes in unprepared one must also know YOU WILL DIE but easier and quicker at least go in naked in custume to cover thy nakedness to save on the repair bills.

You are entering a PvP Zone IT IS NOT SAFE and You will die for meanies farming ap from zergs NB gankers its all good in a zone where YOU WILL DIE.

Only as long as you don't suffer any environmental damage and death ... like getting an A.Javelin to the face and 8meters later falling off high cliffs, towers, walls, etc.

Also, the golden rule for PvP - PvP Problems have PvP Solutions.

Oh, yes, got that. I was meaning from opposing players. No worries, I never lost anything in Cyrodiil....

can we have pvp open world in all zones as exchange?
i would be willing to accept that as a fair trade.

if not, then is it fair to ask you guys to not pve when we enter your pve zone?
i mean cmon guys, your asking us to not pvp in a pvp zone, how is that fair in the slightest?

IF you can’t fight other players well, it would behoove you to get better at it, else not come to Cyro at all.

ya but there not actually participating in pvp there being forced into it to get stuff. like i said if you want to participate in actual pvp, taking and defending keeps, then ya you should be prepared or expect to get slaughtered. But just running thru towns to grab quests when the enemy doesnt even care about capping the towns is just straight up bad behavior

I don’t care about capping resources, Scrolls, keeps, who’s winning the campaign. I set foot in Cyro EVERY DAY, to kill way more people than kill me, read hate tells, and tbag people I don’t like.

I come to get DOWN! If my faction is GATED, I’ll fight in the GATES! I’ll kill people over a SKYSHARD! If I happen upon a fool fishing, I’m gonna try to leave him dead in the water. I killed a dummy once AND the horse he road in on. PvP is PLAYER VS PLAYER. Stuff like AP, campaign rewards, gladiator proofs and event boxes are just icing on the cake. When I SET FOOT in Cyro, it’s to GHOST FOOLS! (And thank you ZOS in advance for letting dead fools BE ghosts for a few seconds in the upcoming chapter. You rock ZOS!).

Awwww...... This thread again lol. People upset about the big bad pvpers playing the game as it was intended. Killing red. Sorry. You cross into Cyrodiil, you consent to being attacked by the opposite faction whether you intended to or not. If you don't want to deal with it. Don't click the ENTER button under Campaigns. It really is that simple.

Maybe something like what Blizzard did in WoW.

You want to PvP, flag yourself, and you can PvP anywhere, with other flagged players. No separate PvP areas/servers are needed.

Don't want PvP, don't flag. You'll never get involved in PvP.

NOTE: I suck at PvP, and only ever did unrated BGs in Wow. So, when I started playing ESO, I went into the different areas, and that was the first and last time I ever did that. Tried to do PvE quests (this was years ago), got my rear handed to me. Cancelled quest, left the area.

How do you even tell the PvE players?? Lol

I’ve been doing quests in Vivec NA PC.

AD and DC have both been hassling, ganking, filling up quest hub houses and literally trying to take the entire town whilst EP players are running around doing their quests.

There is no truce that I can see - consequently I’ve been killing on sight and been killed on sight.

Are some of them PVE players? I have no idea - I just know they are ALWAYS there and there is no time to whisper them.

Players just need to stop questing and start PvPing without knowing when exactly that will happen - but to me that’s just Cyro and that’s why this week is fun.

Yeah, I miss the WoW/RIFT system. It was a lot better in those games. Yes, I let myself in for pvp in a big way when I played on a pvp server with a friend's guild. I knew what I was doing.... and I did "git gud" though I really hated it.

Other than that, I flagged only one time on any other server.... My around level 35 was trying to turn in a quest (as were about 30 others....) on Icecrown. There were two flagged level 30 or so creeps killing the quest turn in NPC - over and over as she respawned. No one was doing anything - and I finally just got totally pissed. So I flagged up and waded in (hunter, so pet class, lag notwithstanding). I guess they were so surprised they forgot to counterattack.... I wiped the floor with them in about a minute. Didn't like it (as I didn't like playing on the pvp server) but hey, we all got to turn in the quest! Perhaps they weren't very good at their levels, so killing a quest NPC was the best they could do. I don't know.

I got a lot of whispers and gifts from the other people waiting around which embarrassed me no end. Several of them whispered me to ask what I did and how - so obviously some of them had no idea what was going on. So yeah, I gave myself a tiny pat on the shoulder for that, but still didn't make pvp appealing.

And it never has appealed. So, when pvp areas intersect with event stuff, I just give it a pass. I don't need anything offered that bad. Can always buy it later.

Ok first of I want to stay Im not the one getting farmed by these players in towns during this event. I dont play that game, I know better. Ive got a zerg of just pvp guild gms I can call in to deal with people at towns never mind their zergs and guilds.

Nah, what I got a problem with is these 1vxers and full zergs farming pve'er at towns. Like of course you can 1vx 10 pve'ers with 15k health in full divines. Im a dumpster fire of a player and I could do that. Its not that hard, you can force pulse spam them to death as roll in.

If they were trying to take the towns so they could do quests or something, ya that would be chill. There not tho, there not flipping anything. What really gets me is the full zergs trying to wreck noobs. Thats great.

And 1vx'ing as a thing entirely is just toxic asf, Noone actually 1vx's a group of skilled players. 1vx'ers just pick off groups of noobs that have no clue what there doing. Then brag that they killed 10 players that dont even know how to kite. Seriously go try that with an actual skilled group. They dont though, because they cant 1vx skilled players.

This entire pvp culture of lets just farm ap is absolutely disgusting. The core game play of cyro should be around taking and defending keeps not just sitting somewhere and farming players. You wanna do that go play deathmatch in bgs.

    Step 1. Go to Cyrodiil

    Step 2. ???

    Step 3. Complain on Forums.

thats not the point of cyrodil tho. thats just deathmatch

If you have not noticed you generally fight the same battles over and over. Take Sej. Lose Sej. Retake Sej. Over and over. I don't even LIKE Sej. I come for the fights. Death matches end too soon. Crybabies got bgs nerfed to no cp. I'm Max cp. My build is tweaked to squeeze out every tinsy bit of damage, give me the most sustain and mitigation for my gear and race. Why should I gimp myself for a crybaby. Hmm.

You decide what you want out if Cyro. I come for fights. I come to kill people. I fight what ever shows up, zergs, ball zergs, small man's and solo 1vxers. EVEN PVE PLAYERS.

I understand that other players in Cyrodiil can kill you but c'mon really. It is so frustrating if you try to talk to an npc about a quest or if you doing a quest that has nothing to do with taking over the place and then chop chop boom death.
Now I have to ride the whole long trip back again.

Just show a little leniency in these events. If people dont bother you then let them be.

Why do you think a lot of players have been asking for a pve version of Cyrodiil for years?!

    Because they're cowards.

One could say the same about gankers camping the town hubs during an event where they know it'll be mostly PvEers and not other skilled PvPers coming for quests.

I don't think anyone is arguing against normal PvP and players normally killing each other. But when the big fights and actual PvP is still going on across the map, but people are instead choosing to gank PvEers, that's what people take issue with. There's a thing called common courtesy, and don't give me that "oh this is one of the few events aimed at PvP" thing either. You can just as easily go do real PvP against other people who actually WANT to during the events that bring PvEers into Cyro as you can any other day of the year.

Iirc, individual players are worth very little AP, so really the only reasons I can see people waiting to gank PvEers is because they either can't or don't want to do actual PvP against actual skilled players (so they're choosing the slow but easy PvE farm), or they're just wanting to be jerks.

Last PvP event I went over there by myself because I'd never done it. Had the wrong armor, all that. I was actively trying to avoid other players and NPCs just to get my one quest over and done with. But I had to go through a gate and there was a player going the opposite way at the same time. I just ignored him and kept going but he turned around and came after me. I stood there and let him kill me. Loaded back in and tried to go through the same gate about 15 minutes later - same guy is still hanging around! Kills me again even though I don't fight back. I waited 30 minutes and it took another ten to get loaded and back to the same spot - nearly an hour after the first encounter. Dude is still there! Why would you wait an hour on the off chance that the same noob might try to come back through again? Third time I saw him before he saw me and went a different way. I don't know how long he sat there before he decided I wasn't coming back. How is that fun for him? I don't get it. But as a result of that I'm not going back. I saw what kind of behavior I can expect and I'm not interested in giving anyone the satisfaction of picking off another non-PvP noob.

In Vivec, players tell people trying to do quests to go to other campaigns. Then these same scrubs go to the other campaigns and farm them. Lots of so-called pvpers simply going to farm people minding their own business. I play both pvp and pve. Real pvpers go for a challenge and fight people who offer that. These scrubs are doing nothing but actively hunting noobs and people who offer no resistance.

These people know exactly who they are. I know a lot of them read the forums and post here. Typical degenerate behavior is what they display. Using an online avenue to display their psychopath tendencies, since there is no punishment for not showing courtesy and common decency. Instead their sociopathic behavior is rewarded.

You can easily avoid these pvpers. And 1vxing is toxic? I find t-bagging, name-shaming and whining all the time toxic. 1vxing is part of the game, been in the game since 2014. Dont like it? You can follow a zerg until the skilled player is dead or play bg’s or pve. Plenty of options.

Ive been doing the quests in my PvP gear. Im not a pro player but Im not terrible.
Ive been farming the farmers when I can and I help the PvEers kill the gankers when Im in the town.
The gankers seem to be surprised when they are getting ganked in return.
Many of them start to run out of the town once they get confronted with another PvP player and a mob of angry PvEers chasing them down.
