China used to force game companies to make the odds of loot boxes visible to players (i.e. % for different type of rewards) so the consumers are aware of the potential cost.
Effective in April 2019 all games companies in China are now forced to revise the visible "odds" to "exact number of openings required" to make it more transparent. Should the players failed to get the reward within the number of "openings" suggested, they have the rights to report to regulators and companies will face potential penalties.
