That's assuming you can get into a campaign and through the loadscreen bosses. Gonna sit back tonight and let the crazy water down a bit before trying. After a couple weeks of Jubilee, I'm happy for a down night.

Yea, I forgot about the loadscreens. This is why I play at odd hours of the night.

I mean it's a PvP zone, if it's making PvP happen...

Besides don't the "kill X Y" count as dailies?

Would it be better to just do the battle ground repeatable over and over than messing about in Cryodiil?

Well I PvE and the same concern was raised before the last two PvP events. Never got ganked even once. You just have to be a little cautious. Sneak.... all ... the... time. Stay off the ridges, try not to follow a straight path between quest givers and objectives. Sit and watch the quest giver and his surrounds for a minute or two before bouncing into say hello. Creep up to the npc, talk, creep away. Don't lose your cool when you are ganked. It happens, it's Cyrodiil. If it happens a second time, mention it (don't cry and rage) in zone chat. There are players who like to dish out righteous retribution in your alliance too. Lastly, if this is going to upset you, don't even queue. Reflect on how many events you've recently enjoyed in PvE land and ask yourself if the lag and PvP queue are worth it. If the answer is yes, jump right in with eyes wide open ;)

Stay on towns owned by your alliance or go in an group, have an dedicated player to hang back and rez.
Min maxing here is not ganking it running all your alts trough all the town quests.
In group we has an policy not to engage solo pve players.
This can get funny then people try to sneak by you and the enemy think it works.

Woohoo. This is already looking great. Two campaigns capped at 4pm in the middle of the week and the only campaign that's not capped is completely yellow with an Emperor killing pacifist players in Cheydinhal.

Considering the costume looks quite similar to Abnur's outfit, I guess I'm just going to pass on this one...

Not familiar with too much PVP. How would these PVP events make box drop rates compared to the other events? Like week 1 made prophet outfits worthless and in week 2 I found Lyris more challenging to complete. If skip event, predictions on if outfits will be cheap, like prophet, or more expensive like Lyris to buy in guild store?

Depends. If you do the Cyrodiil town dailies, you can easily max out your daily quests.

But doing those requires going into a PVP zone where PVP can totally happen, and lota of people don't like to do that.

I just wanted to point out that some of the Daily board quest in Cyrodiil seem not to reward you with the Event Boxes.
    https://www.elderscrollsonline.com/en-us/news/post/55981

"Fight your fellow players! Complete Alliance War and Battlegrounds daily quests to earn Gift Boxes that have a chance to also include Abnur Tharn Outfit Style pages. This includes Cyrodiil Town dailies, all Board missions, the Cyrodiil dailies, the Battlegrounds dailies, and Imperial City dailies."

This includes scouting board & some others. Cant tell if all daily quests are affected by that, since quest you get is random.
I have done 4 daily from Cyrodiil Alliance War board quest and I got only 2 Event Boxes.

With a 5 week event overflowing with opportunities, skipping a week is a good solution for me. I quite like how this whole event separates getting event tix from the gift boxes. I'll start getting some more boxes during pledge week. :)

@Faulgor I raise you "capture three different keeps" as being worse. If you play and play and play, you'll eventually get lucky and win 3, but usually what ends up happening with the keeps is that it's the same two keeps getting captured again and again with no progress.

I fell like this is going to be a complete mess with people just camping the daily quest areas.

Hasn't been that way in the past, at least not in my experience. (NA Server side, DC dailies)

The PVPers aren't doing all the PVPing around most of the daily quest areas - most of the time.

Yes you're going to get some people ganking the "PVE player" easy targets - yes you're going to get some people attacking the NPCs in the towns that give out the dailies. Personally I found that much more annoying and more common than getting attacked myself (Unless I started protecting the npcs lol).

But in the last two PVP daily events I've been involved in - the ONLY time I touch Cyrodil - its a minor annoyance at best and most days/nights was never an issue.

Of course, Daily towns closer to wherever the bigger pvp groups might be fighting could very well be more obnoxious and more of a target.

And I was never one to try and do more than the 2-3 daily towns in my Faction area as I don't wish to try and sneak/run my way over into enemy territory to try and do a few more dailies for a few more RNG boxes.

    So YMMV.

But heavy camping nightmare? Not at all.

So far I'm not impressed. Turned in 4 quests and only had one box. Either it's broken or intended and either way it sucks. Had been looking forward to this week but at the moment I'm ready to just not bother with any of it :(

My favorite tactic is just to call out in zone chat if the daily town NPCs were being camped/taken out (this rarely lasted longer than 10-15 minutes anyway..). Just letting the PVPers in the area know that there were 2-4-6 people isolated over in the daily town - many times it results in people coming to solve the problem for ya.

I'm nice about it (in zone chat) - try to make it entertaining - offer cookies. People are much more receptive when you do that :)

It was a lot of fun on PC/NA Shor this morning!

I took my PVE DD stam sorc out to do some of the town dailies. I decided I wasn't going to bother anyone if they were on a different alliance.

At first, EP had control of Cropsford. Lots of Red Shields running around - it felt really safe and fun (since I'm on EP). There was this one DC quester I felt so bad for because he'd run in to turn in his quest, then the flag guards would pile on him, and he'd have to turn tail and run!

There was one DC ganker, who killed me. Oh well, I just reminded myself that I'm on my PVE build and not striking first. Rezzed up, by the time I got back to Cropsford, some other EP players had cleared him off. The Cropsford EP players were really good about keeping zone chat active with warnings if they were under attack so that questers knew to be wary when entering the town. I also saw several of the active PVPers responding to those warnings and helping defend the town.

I moved on to Cheydinhal, so I wasn't there in Cropsford when the new AD emperor got crowned and promptly led their group to Cropsford so AD could get their turn in at the questing.

Again, lots of EP at Cheydinhal, except for the time an AD guy showed up right next to me at the quest NPC to turn in a quest. We just sort of looked at each other, turned in the quest, and went our merry way.

A lot of PVP is in how you approach it. If you go in with the attitude that you'll get horribly slaughtering while grinding for boxes, it probably won't be much fun. I take the approach of "Its PVP. I'm probably going to get horribly slaughtered, I'm going to do my best not to horribly slaughter some poor quester, and I'll get however many boxes I get while still having a good time."

And I did have a great time! Also, 18 reward boxes, and an Abnur Tharn Jerkin.
