Is the night too dark and too long?

With HDR on i often have a lot of issues seing anything on screen or differentiating betwwen dyes etc. If there is some daylight / not perfectöy darkened room...is that only me? Maybe it would be nice to get a visual option in the menu that only brightens up the night time without increasing brightness overall?

    (For real tho, haven't noticed things being too dark at night myself.)

    its not that night is too dark or too long, its their god awful lighting system

    I dont need the day brightet...maybe its due to hdr or cause i play on a tv

    It's not really that dark at all, can play easily at night time in the game.

    Night is my favorite time in the game! And while I usually have to turn up my brightness a bit it’s not a huge problem.

    In my experience:
    Night is only 'mostly dark' for a short period of time at the beginning of the night.
    It brightens up a bit shortly after that, and tends to look like a bright full moon evening until dawn.
    The problem with society these days is that no one drinks from the skulls of their enemies anymore.

    Must be your monitor. I find the night time in eso really bright. Sometimes hard to tell it's night time.

    You have it backwards. The night is absolutly to short and needs to be lengthened.

    Also the night needs to be darker without gaving to force it with gamma

    Leaving the quotes aside 😉 the night is not long enough - much easier to gather mats etc in the dark!

    If the specific issue is needing enough light to be able to see dye colours properly, my suggestion would be to get a room/apartment/house, light it very well and then put a dye station in it.

    Change your gamma settings (unless console doesn't have that).

    To me the night in game doesn't last nearly long enough. I prefer to gather at night because it's easier to see the nodes glowing but I barely get going before it's getting light. The night needs to be equal in time to the day and it simply isn't.

    I certainly notice a change in the light at night, but it's one of the least intrusive changes in MMOs in my experience.

    The OP's problem certainly seems to be more down to hardware and game settings than the game itself.
