    Yes, players have created threads on the subject though they do not seem to garner much interest. More importantly, it is clear Zos has no intention in making it so a WW can tank. They just reworked the entire line, did a pretty good job, and chose to give access to a taunt.

    K um still no. Until you can taunt, root, block efficiently it’s a no. Don’t try you will be kicked promise.

    a tank who uses WW form all the time is a tank who never taunts. and you dont get WW passives when not in WW form making WW pretty useless for tanking.
    Playing your character the way your character should play is all that matters. Play as well as you can but never betray the character. Doing so would make playing an mmoRPG pointless.

    Well I meant giving ww taunt and stun abilities in the future, not actually going ww tank now. Thankfully someone understood.

    Thanks @idk

    You may be a werewolf as a tank for some emergency situations when this may pay off:
    1. Boss has few hundreds k HP left and all group is dead. As a WW you have 10-20k dps (depending on tanking gear used) to finish it off before stomped by mechanics/adds;
    2. Pets can distract boss while you are ressing teammates, so boss won't interrupt in you in process;
    3. Keeping WW ulti on backbar combined with ice staff, you can regen some stamina while keeping block, if it is direly needed. It's more cost-effective then dumping all magicka into obsidian shards just to convert magicka to stamina 4 to 1;

    Of course out of that emergency situations you stay in human form, and majority of times you will never transform. Vampire is obviously more profitable overall, but then forget about normal looks of your character :p and just by replacing your sets and turning to ww, your tank can turn to decent dps any moment, easily solo majority of WB, farm VMA whatever

    I dont know if the tormentor set works on the werewolf gap Closer but if it does you technically could taunt, you just dont have ways to debuff and Control adds so you cant do many Things a traditional tank can do but its certainly something you could try with Friends, like ww tank and ww dps im sure it could be fun.

    Yeah I remember someone mentioning tormenting set in Zone chat when I talked about this. I figured I want to be ww, and the only way to go is dps, maybe down the line I'll settle for Berserker Heavy Set and go dps like I initially intended.

    It doesn’t.

    Weapon passives are disabled in form.

    I'd want tormentor to apply to pounce.

    I think the enchantments still apply in form, I've seen it happen with my fire and shock weapons.

    I think that was made purposefully. You know devs position - everyone should use same min-maxed optimal build for each role/class combination, any options will lead to imbalance in PVP or whatever, and so even if those options occasionally appear they are immediately removed/nerfed to the ground in next patch.

    You are correct that enchantments work in form. The person I quoted was looking to use the ice staff heavy effect to tank in werewolf form, which is currently (functionally) impossible.

    People wanted to have such an option, to be able to use WW as a tank, with some form of taunt skill, back when Wolfhunter DLC was released. Many people wanted it and posted in on PTS as in Wolfhunter ZOS made som changes to WW skills.
    But unfortunately nothing was done in this department and WW is only used as a stam DPS with a very limited build diversity.

    Adding taunt would unlock a lot of new playstyles and would improve build diversity.

    It would indeed and I'd like it even without the build diversity, but because it's stam dps, I'll play along with the rules and play stam dps instead of tank and go ww with it. ^~^
