Does ESO support 3840x1080 or 2560x1440

I'm thinking of buying a crazy new super ultra wide 49" monitor that has 3840x1080 resolution and aspect ratio of 32:9. Will ESO play on this monitor without black bars anywhere on the screen?

My video card will not be a restricting factor, it's an RTX 2080ti.

I'm also looking at another monitor that has a resolution of 2560x1440. Will ESO support this resolution as well? ...it's standard 16:9 aspect ratio.

I just want to make sure that ESO will support either of these monitors before I sink so much money into a purchase.....the 49" monitor is $1000. ....but OMG.....both have a 1ms MPRT.

Should be fine. Mine is 3440X1440.

Mine is older and much smaller, a 34" curved Dell. I really like the way ESO looks on it!

I didn't know if I was allowed to use brand names....I'm looking at the top of the line Samsung models.

Also at that size you may need to be sitting farther away from it than usual. Think how a console looks on a large TV.

Newer games have resolution support for a crap ton of different sizes.

3840x1080 though sounds like hella widescreen I can't even imagine it.

I’ve been running 2560x1440 for several years now. No issues. What’s the refresh rate and max fps on your monitors? Higher the refresh the less motion blur while turning and panning the camera. Just keep that in mind.

Really nice big monitor - it's £998 here in the uk.

I strongly suggest you cut a piece of cardboard the size of this monitor, bend it to a rough curve, and place that where your current monitor sits. You may find that you have to swing your head - left and right - to see the edges? Personally I like to have height as well - my 30" Dell IPS is 16:9 with a 440mm(17") height, and that is handy for looking up and down. Even more so with Dragons swooping down on us from the skies next month.

There are really few big monitors for sale - I've been looking for a while and only found 32" 16:9 ones. Really not worth upgrading my 30".

I'm intrigued by the 49" monitor, but I'm thinking as fun as it would be, it's a bit overkill and $1,000. I am seriously considering the 32" Samsung CHG70 though. It's 2560x1440, 144hz and 1ms. It's only $540, and should be plenty good for anything, even non gaming applications. The 49" is fun to think about, but not especially practical for most people....and frankly, it does have a low pixel density for it's size.

Thank you everyone for chiming in. I was pretty sure just about any resolution would be supported, but wanted to hear from the community to be certain.

That wide screen ratio took a bit of getting used to as did the curve. At first I considered returning it. However within a couple of weeks it became second nature. Ordinary flat screens now seem drab and artificial to me.

It does support resolutions above 1080p ( 1920x1080) but not fully. For example the cursor will be smaller.

I play on a 34'' 3840 x 1440 curved normally - thats really great and ergonomic..
I also have a 49'' 4k TV and while the game looks great on it I do not use it as I dont have a deep enough table and sit much to close to the screen - not good ergonomically.
