Lets not normalize addiction. Skooma isnt some mild alcohol with funny side effects. Its a narcotic with serious life ruining results.
If we must have skooma in Elsweyr it needs to be in a dark story

Right. Skooma isn't weed. Skooma is crack. If we see it, it needs to be portrayed appropriately.

This. Moonsugar is basically Tamriel’s equivalent of “soft,” relatively harmless drugs, like weed. Skooma ruins lives. I’d be down with seeing some cheerful cats who have been enjoying moonsugar-infused sweet rolls, but that’s it.

Fine. Moon Sugar addicts or whatever.

Yep, would be more appropriate. See the wiki page for moon sugar: https://elderscrolls.fandom.com/wiki/Moon_Sugar
Also from that page:
“A particularly hazardous derivative of moonsugar, known as skooma, is often smoked in raw form through a water-pipe. Its victims are addicted for life, and in constant, alternating states of euphoria and lethargy.[2] It is widely known to all Khajiit that there is no cure for skooma addiction.[10]”
Let us become skooma addicts with a unique skill line like vampire! Just to *** off all the political correctness that is all the hype at the moment...

You guys seriously have some *** up morality issues.

Nobody is addicted to LSD, don't be silly. Not that I'd expect you to know that from your pedestal of morality.
Talking about addiction in a video game probably would be a bit cringey, or it could be good public discourse on a societal topic.
Skooma seems much more like Heroin to me, that whole addict-for-life thing. Plus, skooma dens look like a trap house.

I do think it would be quite interesting/tragic to see skooma dens in the scummier parts of Elsweyr. I could foresee ZOS’s lore-monkeys coming up with some dark, interesting commentary on the pitfalls of skooma addiction (we’ve seen bits of it in the game already). Just as long as it’s not glamorized as an amusing/fun side venture to get housing drug paraphernalia.

It makes it acceptable.
Including drug use in game, causes complications with game classifications in other countries.
In case anyone cares about that.
But... we already -had- the Summerset expansion full of high Elves...spartaxoxo wrote: »Bring more addicts to Tamriel
