I posted this in the main thread in general discussion , but I'll ask here as well....

Does this track all data? Including PvP?

I think that'll be hilarious, especially if down the road this does come to console. So many players running "secret" PvP builds...easy to tell the gear set up from a damage parse. Might be bad if you're trying to keep that OP build to yourself.

Might make PvP a little more...copy pasted (I dont know a good term to use at the moment...carbon copy gear wise) than it already is now. And good luck keeping builds to yourself...those days are over. Even if you're listed as anonymous, that data is out there....

Edit: Let me ask in another way.
How many players, who might not view the forum, are going to want to test their burst against live players, (with resists and such, not like a test dummy) either in Cyrodiil or BG's, will upload their data not knowing they are basically putting their build on display for all to see?
This WILL change PvP in ESO.

Yea, I love that they’re doing this. It’s bothered me that there’s no combat log in the game for a while. Some things though:

    - they mentioned it might not work well in pvp zones, or work at all? I wasn’t clear on this part of the video. Maybe he just meant it would write too much in pvp and bog down your pc
    - he mentioned an issue I noticed that right now CMX has issues because it counts overhealing because how info was displayed. It’ll be corrected
    - It will give people more information so people will really be able to tweak their specs. Right now I have to guess a lot of things and go by intuition. Give me a log and I’ll have hard numbers to compare sets

    Can’t wait!
Looking for any guildies I used to play with:
    Havoc Warhammer - Alair
LoC EQ2 - Mayi and Iskiab
PRX and Tabula Rasa - Rift - Iskiab
Or anyone else I used to play games with in guilds I’ve forgotten

Didn't get a chance to watch the stream (work...yay..)
But while I think this is beneficial in helping players improve in PvE, and can in PvP, I'm more coming at this from the perspective of the players unwilling to let others know what builds they use in PvP. Those wanting to test against live variables, such as against crit resists, up times, etc. against a live player.
Their "secret" builds will be in jeopardy if they choose to use this tool to do so..

Of course, if this doesn't work for PvP, it's all moot....but just thought it would make an interesting discussion from the PvP perspective.

You sound pretty insecure when it comes to PvP, there are no "secret sets" and "secret setups" its all well established and out there if you just open your eyes.

I guess you dont understand how logging will work, everyone that wants to upload logs to the website requires an dedicated addon and account for that specific website.
When they upload it, its automatically set to private and only the owner who uploaded the log can look up what happened in that "fight", unless they decide to publicate it, then its open to view for everyone.
The owner can still keep it on private and share the log via link, kinda works like unlisted videos on youtube.

What I think a lot of people in that thread don't recognize is that it's already possible to figure out how they are playing. I don't know why they think they are (are can be) anonymous.

Right now in cyrodiil I have the exact damage numbers my opponents are doing to me and what I am doing to them.

Already said I didnt get to watch the stream and it'll be moot if it doesn't work in PvP. I guess it's hard for some people to read....

There are youtubers who flat out refuse to say what they run. Insecurity has nothing to do with it...you can see for yourself that's the case.
