Need help with templar bow build (noob)

Having trouble soloing at level 7
Skills:
Breath of life,venom arrow,scorched earth,sun fire
Racial:light armor affinity,gift of magus.

When fighting groups of 3 I can't manage to out heal their dmg or kill them fast enough before I die.

I wanted to be able to heal in groups at lvl 15+ with resto staff, and to be able to solo right now up to that point.

Assuming you are fighting mobs at around your level, here is how to dominate as a bow Templar:

First:
Moph Sun Fire to reflective light.
Get puncturing strikes.
Wear some heavy armor (can have some light armor as well).

Approach mobs in stealth from behind or side. Fire bow heavy attack. Use reflective light (aoe snare, damage, and dot). Shoot with bow moving away from mobs. Depending on mob health, use reflective light again. Or just use puncturing strikes to finish them.

I never even use my heal, the mobs never reach me (at low levels anyway).
You can get binding javelin as well if you need more cc.

You shouldn't be healing against normal mobs. I'm at work now so can't link my build via my phone.

However you should be using knock backs and knock downs ie ad spear.

In addition do you start the fight from stealth? You crit if you are in stealth and behind the mob. On even level mobs a heavy attack crit should hit for around 30-40% of the regular mobs hp.

At 24 I can take 3-4 mobs and unless they are ranged I do not take a hit.

Yes they are my level or 1 level higher and I'm initiating attack from stealth, but my problem is when there are 2-4 baddies. I'll start by sneak+heavy attack,scorched earth, venom arrow, reflective light, and then scatter shot when they get close. All while kiting. What skills would be recommended dropping for sun fire and puncturing strikes, and/or should I respec?( I'm level 10 now btw if that affects anything, I use 4 light armor and 3 heavy that way I get bonus from evocation ). Thanks for replies btw.

Regardless of what your future build is going to be, always take Puncturing Strikes. In fact take the starter of every skill line and add it to your bar (including weapon skill lines that isn't your active weapon) so you could level them all at once... but I digress.

Puncturing Strikes is an incredibly potent skill for PvE. It deals great AoE damage, devastating single target damage, interrupts, executes (if morphed), and costs a reasonable amount of magicka. In PvE, Biting Jabs is basically all I used up to level 50.
