Starting today, you can change your PSN! I’m so excited to not be The WWE fan anymore. No idea what I’m gonna change it to?

First change is Free. After that it’s $10. Not bad.

Hope this doesn’t affect log in and stuff?

So what are you guys changing to? Staying the same? Gotta keep it secret so no one steals it? I’m sure PuCsMaShEr9000 is excited. Lol

    Was about to post the same question. They tested a bunch of games and found issues with a few, particularly games originally released before 2018. So @ZOS_GinaBruno any word if this feature has been successfully tested on ESO? Because it wasn’t one of the games included on their list.

    We’ve been able to change our ESO @name on pc for a long time now without issue, it’s unlikely you’ll run into issues doing the same on PS4.

    But it’s a good idea to let your guild GMs or Officers know. Especially if you are in trade guilds that track weekly sales or dues, they need to be able to match up old name data to new name data.

    I've changed my XBox name after getting ESO on there. At first my account on the ESO website showed my old name for a few months but was updated later. I've never had any issues logging in though.

    OMG I've been waiting for this forever! I chose my name back when I was quite immature.

    @kylewwefan have you attempted this yet? I just don't wana ruin a lot of hard fought trophy's...

    LOL, I wish this were a thing when I first made the switch to PS4... I wanted my usual gamer tag (Freawaru), but that was taken, so I had to go with the oh-so inelegant “Freawaru87” to get past the initial setup screens. It bugged me SO much when I realized after the fact that I wouldn’t be able to change my PSN name. Everyone on the PS4 boards stated that PSN name changes would NEVER be a thing, so I reluctantly started a new account that directly referenced the old one (Peace-Weaver, which is what Freawaru in Beowulf basically was). @ZOS_GinaBruno had very kindly arranged for me to get my beta monkey on that old account as well. :( If I’d just stuck it out and dealt with those unsightly numbers, I could have changed my name now.

    Ah well. At least this potentially means that we’ll see fewer xXxXnOsCoPe420yoloswagXxXxXx types running around on PS4 :D

    That was basically what I had to do when I chose my new account name. I spent DAYS mulling over names I could see myself using forever on my PS4. Now that it’s finally here, I of course have no need to change my name. :D Everyone knows me as Peace-Weaver now, and I’m happy with that.

    I do kinda wish sometimes I’d stuck with one of my initial alternate name ideas that I played around with... TheRadioCzar (a pun, of course, on “the radio star”, since that was already taken). It actually made it enjoyable to see my name pop up in scrolling kill updates in games like Battlefront and Battlefield. “xXYOLOSWAGBILBOTEABAGGINSXx killed TheRadioCzar.” Given that the average gamer is like 15, though, I figured the reference would be lost on them. :D

    Right? It’s also original, which is rare! Soooo many tryhards copy certain streamer gamer tag naming conventions on console. It’s hilarious. I roll my eyes a little whenever I see someone with some variation on “Itz[Nickname Here]”, or the ever popular bracketed “xX[name]Xx” or “[name]-_-[name].”

    That looks terrible. I had another name, probably not gonna use. It would had been PSN LoveMommasCookin. That looks alright. I might keep that one.

    Ha my psn name is Argonian_Austin because argonian is my favorite race. But I soon found out they had terrible racials, and was wanting to play a different race but my name wouldn't fit. So I really wish I didn't have my name but I just stuck with being an argonian and now I don't mind at all.

    Speaking of PSN name changes, just a PSA for a new scam I’ve seen popping up in zone: people selling crowns for slightly less than the going rate, then changing their PSN name so you can’t report them.

    I'm waiting to change mine, because too many games are having issues right now, and as I own and play a few of those on ps4 (not ESO though) I'd rather they iron out the kinks first. i would really rather not lose my Uncharted 4 platinum, for example, that thing is one of the few legit platinums I have (telltale games are nice and all, but you get a plat just for finishing them, with uncharted i had to do.... /shudder lengthy stealth sections :/ )

    I'll only change 1 of my accounts because it had a typo when I set it up. The rest are all good.
