anniversary jubilee daily event rewards ... disappointing

Maybe it's that I'm low level (just hit 27 and moved up 3 levels in a few days thanks to eating the cake), but the stuff I'm getting don't seem to be worth the effort to do activities outside my usual interests ... which is just solo questing.

I did all the crafting writs for the past week and got a bunch of useless low level materials, a few weak weapon and armor pieces, and a few purple crafting recipes wayyy above my level (need level 9 and 10 skills to learn and I can't even get to 4 until level 35). I just did a few delves today and didn't get anything useful.

Is this event only good for the champion/max-level players?

I got tons of motifs on both accounts - from my second account, I mailed them to my CP 100 crafter on my main account. I got lots of low level mats, yes - but I also got an Aetherial Cipher on my (much lower level) 2nd account (on my level 12 newest toon AAMOF), and an Aetherial Dust on my main account on the lowest level toon (level 15). Also got lots of patterns for furnishings, gold mats, purple mats - but then I do tend to really good luck on drops in this game (unlike every other game I've ever played).

Sounds like you just haven't had good RNG....

If you got highly sought purple recipies, sell them for a good price and buy whatever you favor for the revenue.
Else just save them for when you've reached the appropriate level. Food/Drink you can make can make quite a difference in PvP / PvE providing buffs. Good thing to invest in imho.

I miss the first year of events when it wasnt such a grindfest to get the goodies from these events. At this point I just log in for the daily rewards and to collect tickets. Im not going to chase motifs or anything else that might drop. Not worth my time or energy.

I agree with that. I play on PC-EU and NA and on EU my RNG has been closer to OP's luck, but on NA it has been incredibly better. I went through a 3 month period alone on NA where the RNG far exceeded a year and a half (at the time) worth of RNG on EU.

The event is good if you care about crafting and motifs. If not, just use the cake and keep doing what you are doing.

Unless you want to get stuff to sell. But doing writs is a good way to earn steady money once you hit CP 160.

Doing writs is a really great way to earn steady money at any level.... It's my go-to thing.

How do you sell them? Do you need to get into a good guild? the ones I'm in don't even have stores.

You either buy into the "elitist guild trader" system in this game, or you hawk them on zone chat.

My RNG is also pretty terrible. I'm playing 5 characters ranging from level 10 to CP450. Where I hear about others getting tons of motifs, aetherial dust/ciphers, and gold mats... That isn't what I'm getting. I've gotten a few motifs but it's less than 1 per day per character. No aetherial anything. I have gotten several blue furnishing plans and 2-3 purple recipes. The few things I am getting, I'm glad to have because my main crafter doesn't know most of the motifs/plans/recipes I've gotten. So it's not your level, OP. It's your luck. I'm sorry.

I hate people spamming WTS in zone chat, just join a guild.

Joining a trading guild would be a good idea.

Usually typing LF Trading guild in chat will get you one.

Keep in mind that even if a guild does not have a guild trader, you can sell internally if they have more than 50 members.

I actually make sure my social guilds that don't always have traders are stocked as well.

But selling in Zone chat works too. And you can ask in zone for price checks as well and people will usually post options.

Wut? I got like a million motifs that I didn't have before from just the first week.

I'm up a million gold from a week of writ dailies, with a ton of motifs left to sell.

It's all RNG, all the time. During past events, doing 10 toons every day, sometimes 1 toon would hit three "goodies in a row. Sometime 5 toons and barely a fish.

I'm max level/max CP and I have only got a few purple motifs.

There again, I only crafted on one char and am actually doing fewer dailies than usual, if anything, as I'm finding the event unenjoyable.

Nope. Not going there. I don't need gold... I want a real global AH. Apparently that's not happening. So.... I'll be doing my own thing - which is for the most part ignoring the elitist guild trader system.

I just had to put this here. I'm only doing this weeks events on one or two characters, so I'm not getting a whole lot of stuff anyway (actually getting better rewards from the regular boxes so far, tbh), but I just opened a jubilee box and got... a single elegant lining. Nothing else. Lol and smdh.

First week was great. I cashed in big time and got tons of stuff. This week not so much, only had one lyris page drop and mostly crappy loot. And it takes longer to aqquire each gift box.

Yep - that’s what I’m seeing this week too - last week was great for loots - two dust plus a bunch of motifs to sell. This week the loots are just meh.

I’ve had fun in Summerset doing WB’s and grabbing shards on an alt which has hardly been there at all - plus I’ve done the first Psijic quest on him - so all good - but the most valuable thing I getting is the culanda lacquer.

The first week took much less effort to get the boxes - that's for sure. I could bang out 56 boxes (8 crafters at 7 writs each) in about 35 minutes during the crafting week.

This week it's not nearly as efficiently farmed. I'll hit up one or two and I'm off to do what I find more fun.

I'm giving this week and the next two a miss. Crafting is the only thing I'm willing to do (MEGA ping, not interested in grouping or trying to get through delves, not to mention I don't EVER pvp) - so I get a rest until the 5th week. The only motif I'm really interested in is Sai's.... and I can pick that up at traders eventually.
