Maintenance for the week of April 6:
• PC/Mac: No maintenance – April 6

Alt without auto loot on was first to eat the cake. Are those tickets gone forever?

So I checked my tickets and I am down two from what I *should* have been at. I actually keep a spreadsheet so I know what to buy and when. This week I have been going through my alts from least played then finishing on my main. I am pretty sure that my alt without auto loot ate the cake and didn't loot the tickets. There's no chance there's a container in my inventory with them? I assume they are gone forever. If this is the case then I am a little upset. I just always assumed they went straight to currency.

Tickets are put into your currency and thus account (not character) bound

^^ Yeah man, the tickets are automatically added to your currencies when you eat the cake, auto-loot or not.

Hmm ok. Thank you. I know I have seen a window pop up with a "Take" option with 2 tickets in it a couple of times. I bought a berry 2 days ago. I'm expecting to have 4 today. I have 2. Maybe the tickets haven't reset? I normally don't play this early but I wanted to take advantage of the last couple hours of writs. Maybe it's that I will get those other two after the reset. Thank you.

Daily resets usually happen around near 1 or 2 Am eastern time. Daylight savings has an impact on which hour.

So, compare your time zone to east us and that is about when you should expect the event to reset.

Of course, the change over happens today from crafting at I think about 9 or 10 am, so that might have an impact too.

I agree, better to play later in the day.....

I never auto-loot. When I eat cake, I get a little window that pops up with 2 tickets in it. And I have to take the tickets. They do not go right into my currency/inventory.

I figured as much. I manage to mess up the simplest things. Now I am going to stew over this all day. Grr.

You do still have to "Take" the tickets.

You have a spreadsheet! Sounds like you are very organised

My inventory is utter chaos, I rely on Inventory Insight add on to make any sense of it at all

Life has a lot more factors to balance to keep it tidy than a video game's inventory system. :P

Besides, if your life is so chaotic, you probably just can't stand seeing the chaos in-game, too. ;)

I should have gotten up early and did my crafting writs before the changeover. Ah well...didn't need any more prophet pages. I've got probably a dozen spread across my traders that are just sitting there at 500g each.

Eastern timezone daily reset is currently 2am EDT, as it's 1am CDT for me. Standard time is 1am EST/12am CST. So, dailies and tickets will reset at those times. The weird thing is that the event switch for the type of dailies is 10am EDT/9am CDT (iirc).

OP, it sounds like you've been pretty methodical with this event, so I'm sorry you missed out on a day of tickets. While I thought that just eating cake would be a great way to get tickets (and I think it is for week 3, when I don't have to PvP to get tickets), it's an additional action that you have to be sure you've done each day. So, I log in on first character, check ticket balance, then eat cake, then do dailies.

I am not sure what the ui you are using is, but when I eat the cake, a notification comes up that I have just got two event tickets, and there is no need to 'take' them or anything, they are just added straight to my currency.

You mentioned you woke up early. The cake timer for tickets does not reset with the daily timers for pledges and writs. It's a separate timer 24 hours after you acquire tickets for that day. You probably already got them by now, but this is still useful information for others.

No, it's not. That was only for the Witches' Festival and it was a mess.

From the second event on, ticket cooldowns reset with the daily pledge/writ/daily quest reset.

I tried later that day. I can emphatically confirm that these tickets require an action to take them and are on the typical daily reset schedule.
