Animals in Elsweyr

So I've been watching some of the Elsweyr gameplay. The zone itself is amazing looking, especially with all the rocks and flora. However, the fauna is... well. Oh look, Haj Mota again, those were in like the last 4 expansions/dlc and don't belong in a savannah to begin with. Oh look, Direwolves again, thought those were unique to the Gold Coast considering the emphasis put on them, but okay. At least the summerset dire wolves had a different fur coating. Literally the only unique animal native to elsweyr is the terror bird, which is admittedly cool. They couldn't even be bothered to reskin mammoths to make elephants for the savannah biome? And instead of putting lions (which are in the game already) in this savannah, they put freaking direwolves. It just seems kind of silly. It's the same animals as summerset. I haven't seen them yet but I'm sure we'll see those annoying Kotu Gava in Elsweyr too in order to complete the triad of animals that live literally everywhere.

I got the impression from the demo that a lot of the animals seemed like placeholders and there could be more unique ones still under development

I want to agree with the placeholder idea, the chapter is still over a month out.
