Cheated out of event tickets

Yep, if you had 12 and ate the Cake you lost the two you would have gotten. It's been that way since the beginning so we have to check to be sure to not have 12 when it's time to get 2 more tickets.

On that note if you have 194 Crystals for example and open a reward coffer having more crystals than you can take you will fill up to 200 and the rest are lost. I opened a 50 cyrstal coffer one day and took the contents not realizing I was at 194 already. Lost 46 crystals. Have to keep up on all these things...

It's worth noting that this is an example of inconsistent design. The game will not allow you to take a regular item out of a container if your backpack is full. Even if you have a container with only 1 item, the game will not allow you to take it -- even though it wouldn't put you over backpack limit since the item would just replace the container.

With backpack, bank, quests, guild sales, the game teaches you that when you reach a cap, you can't take stuff that would go over the cap. You're not losing loot because your backpack was full, you're not losing quest rewards because your backpack was full, you're not losing access to a quest because your quest log was full when you talked to NPC, you're not losing an item you're trying to sell while at 30/30 listings. The game tells you to stop, clean up and retry.

And then, some things just go through cap to oblivion. Whether it's flawed design, or sloppy implementation, I don't know.

Do some people really think that 14 tickets take up more space on the server than 12? This is a completely arbitrary limit. And they didn't forget the warning that you already own 12 tickets by accident. Those "learn to play" comments are ridiculous. This isn't a mechanic to master, it's a simple device to annoy you so that you keep the whole "ticket" business in mind.

    Frustrating thread.

Regarding OP, user error. Pay more attention.

Regarding the mechanism, coding isn't a problem You can question the design choices, but it is coded properly. It has nothing to do with being lazy.

Instead of trying to prove a point, why not ask WHY they would design it that way? Most like their objective is to compel people to play all the events since they can't just play the most generous ones and stockpile tickets for the future. It is fair to criticize that approach as manipulative.

And for those saying it is lazy, it actually takes more effort to cap the tickets than to not cap the tickets.

Lol people just don't know what to complain about. Working as intended, move on, stop whining and pay more attention. Also, is not the end of the world with how F EZ is to get tickets this 5 weeks. *** POSTING at it's finest

Exactly. With a price of 10 tickets for many items and a limit of 12 to carry, they practically whip you to the store.

Only if you lack the time to play when the berries for the mount you want are available. This doesn't matter much for the feathers since you can get those anytime.

It is bad coding, pure and simple. Don't tell me this was a design intention. It's ineptitude that hasn't been corrected due to laziness, time better spent reskinning ponies than correcting ineptitude.

    It absolutely was intended.

I love the game but don't ever lose sight of the fact that ZOS is one of the coldest businesses in the gaming industry.

Everything they do is engineered to extract as much financial profit from their customers as possible.

Your predicament is one such example of this. There is a reason that you can only carry 12 tickets.
