Did ZoS secretly reduce drop chance of motif pages out of jubilee boxes?

as the title says. Last days, got like 15-20 motif pages out of 12 characters, today after patches, only 3. coincidence or did the reduce drop chance? what are your expierences..

Just bad luck on your part I think. I landed two or three on multiple characters for today's writ run.

I've been tracking mine per character, and I don't think so. I'm getting a consistent 0 to 3 motifs every 7 writs across 9 characters, and I didnt notice any difference today after the patch.

Fewer than last year but there is companion style, new funiture plan and new alchemy ingrediant on the loot table they ad to take drop chanc from somewhere

so, i was averaging 1 per seven boxes, after patch, 1 per 12-13. So maybe just rng balance, but ya, i noticed a difference. I had six characters today get none. The only saving grace was the last toon got 4. (These are purp motifs)

The style pages i stopped tracking as they dropped and cluttered way to much lol. Though i did notice less frequency after the patch for these too.

This. The more stuff they add to the loot tables the harder it is to get what you want.

yeah, I noticed getting fewer motifs and furnishing patterns after the patch. typically, i would get at least one of either furnishing pattern or motif. today one of the alt accounts had almost entirely mats and mats only. i got couple of prophet pages and the rest... mats. another account only got a single motif and a furnishing patterns. main account had same issue.

if its intentional... I mean mats are nice and all, but I really was hoping to fill in my motif knowledge gap, whether through personaly looting them, or buying at greatly reduced prices, but if the drop rates will be that low from now on.... blech.

It definitely seems like less but I’m thinking it’s because of the event length. After the five weeks are up the average will look the same as the one week we got during previous anniversaries.

Def noticed less motifs but its 5 weeks long and almost all the styles are gonna be dirt cheap, even the worm cult and armiger ones, I see them really cheap as well

When I read where it was tested on pts, the patch noted stated the drop rates were lowered to make room for new items added to the possible drops. So definitely wasn’t secretive if you kept up on pts patch notes.

My motif problem is that I've been getting stuff I already have, like the game knows I don't need it. One Lyris page and 6 motifs I hope I can sell.

Firstly, 1 day does not make a new pattern. Until you are in the hundreds (if not thousands) of "events" (in this case boxes), you can't make any meaningful statistical conclusions.

Secondly, humans are absolutely terrible at seeing "patterns".

Finally, people who notice a negative change (in their perception) are much more likely to say something, rather than the people who see the status quo, who will be unlikely to say something. This will give the perception that things have changed, when they simply haven't, you just had an unlucky day.
