Am I the only one that actually loathes the twilight/matriarch?

I'm a sorcerer. I need a tank so that I can spam the enemies from a distance.
They barely notice the twilight and head straight for me and her attack is laughable.
And all that flapping and singing! Sheesh!
Does anybody else actually prefer the clannfear?

What is the big advantage to Miss Flappy Flap anyway?

✭✭the twilight is not a "tanky" pet, its a support (if you have the healing morph) The other morph when proc'd deals more damage to enemies over 55%, the "scamp" has a more direct damage roles and will actively charge at enemies

I think I'll move back to my Clannfear. I have other healing methods, but the 1/3rd works for me and he's awfully tanky.
I call him Bunny.

I don't like how just one add will wander over to her
The damage morph is ok at best. I hear immortal in pve now
Heals are better than breath
Clanfear sucks unless your lvl 15
AI is weak
Scamp is great for damage
AI works well at best
I find using boundless + surge + shield will heal me through anything [almost]
get your crit chance at least to 53+
Mother Sorrow and thief[?] gives you 60+
Also I battle on the front lines I don't spam frag from the background
Ranged will not work as well.
If boundless can't reach the mob It's not going to crit for you and heal you every second
Remember w/ Dark Magic passives damage from DM attacks heal and add a grp buff to crit chance

✭✭✭✭For overworld pve, I only use the clannfear. He is tanky and I can use him for heals. I don't care much for the flappy-bird but use it when necessary for group content.PC/NA/EP ✌️1 -
NinchiTV✭✭✭✭✭big advantage is it has a good burst heal, applies concussion, adds constant pressure, gives you 8% more H, gives 20% stam and health recov. Thing that sucks is it takes up space where you could put a more fun ability. Its an easy choice to put matriarch over any other healing ability for sorc but you also have to give up something on your front bar which means magelight (big crit and NB defense) goes bye bye. Or your execute goes bye bye. I;ve grown to appreciate matriarch but i would 100% go back to a time when it wasnt needed.1 -

✭✭✭✭✭Sorc pets are an absolute eyesore. The matriarch is far too large and only gets larger when you morph it. It never stops moving even when it's not mobile. I wish we could go back to the days of pets being absolutely useless in combat so that we would never have to look at them again.6 -

Why would I want to look at a s%@ blue monkey, or an oversized low poly count bird that happens to need a bra.
Why not a Banekin, a Xivkyn, or even a nixad? Pet size limitations the same as non-combat ones should apply.
There was an absolute a$$hat sorc who placed their Matriarch over Chef Dono-whatever last week and I tore them a new I am surprised there aren't tickets against me.
If you really wanted to make money, Zos - you'd put new combat skins on the crown store - and even with my s%#( australian ping I'd still accept your subpar service and throw money at you.3 -

It still does a soft taunt (Even in vet group dungeons *if* you enter solo) which makes solo play so much easier ...

SpankinDamob✭✭✭I haven’t tested it, but the past two nights I’ve been running the Matriarch instead of the scamp. It seems things die way faster with her. I don’t really ever need her heals since I have power surge running. Doesn’t make since with all she’s doing is light attacks. Rotation with her liquid lighting, L/A, elemental wall, bar swap, L/A, dadreric pray, Hard attack, restart. With the imp had pulse after the bar swap, L/A. This is with doing world bosses, public dungeons, and delves.0

Bekkael✭✭✭✭✭I went from using both pets on my Sorc, to none, and I currently have the Clannfear added back for the heal. Plus, he takes agro off my character so she can quickly kill whatever, which I like.
I quite enjoyed the Matriarch originally, but running into them EVERYWHERE, with the incessant flappity flapping all over the place has made me heartily dislike them. Warden bear can be a little annoying too with blocking stuff I need to click on, but at least they stand still and don't have a body part waving in my line of sight, which is the main thing that bugs me around crafting areas. I wish all pets unsummoned in cities, but oh well. I'm happy the Necro will not be adding to the permanent summoned pets population.~~ Lady Gamer ~~ ♥ ~~ Xbox NA ~~1 -

✭✭✭✭✭flappy mama heals you, your clanfear and herself. or she heals players around you. clanfear only heals you and itself. she also heals for a LOT more then clanfear does.
so for group play - you want flappy mama. but for solo? clanfear is just fine.dirty worthless casual.

✭✭✭✭✭The clanfear is a tanking tool. It's very good on a Sorc Tank, but can't help others. The Matriarch is for a sorc healer. It's very good for them, but kinda garbage for a sorc tank.
So... yeah, I prefer the clanfear. But, that's because I don't have a sorc healer, and do have a sorc tank.1 -

✭✭I hate matriarch but it is a necessity. In PvP it hits for over 3k with daedric prey. Its heals are a literal lifesaver.
But I kill them whenever I'm out of combat I can't stand the stupid bird. Especially now that it suddenly pops right on top fo your head whenever you kill something."Knee-jerk reactionist."
