Its shame..
You will get lot user if you add language.
And normally my ping is 200~250. Is this tolerable figures? I don't feel lag at solo, but a bit at group dungeon.
And this is because no servers at near region.

Well, is there a Korean team of professional voice actors willing to dub the entire game cheap enough to justify the investment?

Voice is not needed. Its not essential. Just text translation is enough.

Then I'd suggest to get some people to work on it like the Russians did with their Russian text translation of the game.

@wsxdrfv If you're on PC there's already a community-made Korean patch available. I'm on console so I don't know how good it is but you can check this out for more info.

The Spanish speaking eso community did the same at one point. It’s not reasonable to expect a company to translate all content into every possible language, it’s nice that eso lets the players fill that gap if there’s enough interest.

They don't do any Asian languages AFAIK.

Lots of people with money in Asia, so it can't be a sound business reason.

It just boils down to good old fashioned racism. And laziness.

Way to far to call devs racist just because they don't have a translation for a video game.

Devs? Who said anything about devs?

My point is that Asia is huge market that no business can rationally ignore.
You should review who the game's owners are, and who they are related to.

Agree, ppl underestimate the number of possible language of people playing this game.
They cannot translate for all due to obvious cost reason..

Their is a lot of game with way less text than ESO were only KR/EN as option.
Hell I've play most of these game as a French player and I'm not dead, I've learn English in those game (well, I tried :>)
I understand it can be frustrating to some, but that really not a big deal to get in.

It's not just about translation. Do you expect Asian players to connect to NA or EU server?

Yes, I do expect Asian players to connect to the NA or EU servers. Because those are the only options.

You’re right that there is a lot of money in the Asian gaming markets. But the cost of a North American company hiring translators and editors proficient in each major Asian language, to write, implement and test every piece of dialogue in this game, negates the potential profits there. Especially since those personnel would need kept on staff permanently due to the quarterly content release cycle.

All of this for a gaming market that is notoriously fickle. Even Asian game studios don’t expect longevity from their mmos.

What's so special about Korea anyway? There are a lot more SEA and Japanese ESO players than Koreans. Koreans are so demanding. Ekkkk.

so US game developers are racist for not translating the game in some other language now? wow, let's look at the flipside of that coin: there must be a ton of racists making games in japan and china who hate english. what about thai and farsi, must hate them too
