8 man premade in BGS?

Is this a normal behavior? I have no problem with 4 man premades. But I literally was just in a CTR match where:

We held one relic (Orange/Red)

Red held Green

Green held ours (Purple)

Our team, purple, had 3 people defending at our relic. and I went to attack. (Stamsorc, high bursty burst!)

I found the other two teams sitting right next to each other with the relics, not fighting at all. And when I attempted to engage, they made a point of not getting in each others way. Sending one or two people from either team to attack us repeatedly.

When we finally were overwhelmed, red killed the green guy standing next to their relic/holder, and won the match.

Before this situation happened, it looked like the green team was just sitting back and allowing orange/red to win.

I haven't seen anything quite that bad. I have seen teams obviously playing for 2nd place by ignoring the first place team but sometimes that is simply good strategy.

Green didn't even attempt to score. Some where names ive seen before, but i've never seen anything like that.

I’ve seen it a few times

Though it’s hard to tell if people just straight up don’t understand how the mode works, or if their only goal is to keep one team from messing with their buddies’ first place

It seemed like it. At some points, green team members came and went. (Making me think it isn't a 4 man queue)

We weren't doing anything wrong either. No toxic players, etc.

Everyone just captured each others relics, and then I saw both of the other teams standing side by side and refusing to fight.

Never seen anything like that, and personally. I don't think that should be tolerated in 4v4v4. If you're all friends and play against each other, thats one thing. But playing "8v4". No.

It looks like that you have come across 2 battleground groups who are guild friends who will simply never attack each other.
It is very rare in battlegrounds, but it is much more common in Cyrodiil.
Hopefully, the campaign alliance lock will help to make situations like this more rare in Cyrodiil.

That's probably the case, and that really does suck. Why that's an 'acceptable' behavior, though. I don't know. Rare as it may be, it does ruin the concept. Annoying, but meh.

Was playing Chaosball earlier, and the 3 guys on my team were chasing purple around while the green dude with the ball just stood behind a statue for the entire game.
I don't think they were a pre-made - just stupid.

we want solo que, how is this hard, those ppl like premade group can play against other premade groups.

I've seen that in deatmatch, two teams run to the thirds spawn and don't kill each other only bag the third group. And yeah essentially thats two guild groups, it is pretty rare though.
