Some people might need it though. I did it before the patch started so I'm all set

2. Eat cake, get tickets (5 seconds)
3. Collect writ quests and complete with Lazy Writ Crafter addon (two minutes max)
4. Turn in quests for reward boxes (30 seconds max)
5. Sign out and log in on another alt (roughly two minutes)
6. Repeat steps 3-5 for the number of alts you have (~8-14 on one account, 4.5 minutes per iteration)
Total time to get 7*(number of alts) reward boxes plus event tickets: 36-63 minutes (plus 5 seconds for cake).
Even if the downtime goes for another 10 hours, that's STILL enough time to get the max number of boxes and event tickets for today. So quit bellyaching.
We can also just use the cake, get the writ quests and do them tomorrow, and then do tomorrow's quests as well, can't we?

10 hours from now? 4.30am.
I don't think I'll be logging in for an hour to do my writs!
Most people have, say, a 4 hour window to fit in game play - after work, before bed. I'm not saying that people are right to complain as much as they do, we know the work has to be done and we know they don't make it take longer than it should just for the fun of it. But some of the arguments against the complainers aren't really feasible.
But then we all know they are merely intended to throw fuel on the fire...
This day of maintenance is going to cost a lot of people tickets and loot boxes that they would be getting during this event. This is not right you need to get things fixed to get the servers up! You should extend the event by a week to give everybody extra time. I love ESO but I'm not liking the fact that you guys are keeping the servers down so long.

When the event only give 72 of the 80 tickets required to evolve your nacent indrick and get another one you need every day you can get
Thank god I decided to skip the Indrik completly. I dont like these "do it now or miss out on it forever" things anyway.

Saucy_Jack wrote: »I'll admit I was pretty callous in my reply. My general point is that, out of all the event weeks, this week in particular is affected the least by downtime like this due to the relatively light-speed time it takes to do writs rather than, say, run a dungeon or a trial.
Also, you can't forget that eating cake = getting event tickets, so if you can log on for 5 seconds, you get them.
