Hello, so umm. This is too much. It's now after 5 am here in Honolulu. East coast mainland is 6 hours ahead of us. So it's almost noon there. Why are the servers taking this long to come back up? Seems like when these things go down it just takes longer and longer. Not many of us have time for this. Why do these things during times of day before people go to work or school. Why not during the time they are at work or school so we can play a little before and after? 5 years and you never thought of this even though we've been telling you thing over and over zenimax?

As usual, and it’s completely avoidable if they do some or all of the EU maintenance separately, but they insist on being stubborn and avoiding the fact that in 2019 there are better ways of doing things...

I am sorry but doing something the same way for years is not an excuse. Life is fluid, processes and technologies change, and if you have a server in the EU then carry out maintenance during EU off-peak hours.
The moment the customer starts making excuses on behalf of a company is the moment the customer bends over and starts paying the company to “take advantage” of their compromised ass up position.
