Furniture slots increase with Elsweyr?

Hey,

Are we gonna see any increase of furniture capasity with Elsweyr patch? I think that for large houses like Grand Pjisic Villa, 700 slots max is too low. I have decorated 1/3 of my home and i'm out of slots. I know that the more decorations you have, the more it will require performance and loading times might increase, but if we could get even 200 slots more or something similar, it would help a lot of players to detail and finish their homes

Probably not. Unfortunately for housing, performance issues have to come first.

Honestly? I'd just be happy with 50 or 100 more slots. That said, we've been asking for it for so long, but I sadly don't really think it's going to happen. At least, not with Elsweyr. I wanna be optimistic and believe that maybe sometime in the future we'll get more slots, though?

Think we will be getting more slots at some point but not with the next chapter.

When housing came out they said they had future plans for it, so if I was developing this further I would want to get the slots in with that.

Even buying more slots with crowns will be a great change. It would be great to have more slots for your favourite house!

I too would voice my desire to see more housing furniture slots added with Elsweyr or another time , though I am unsure if this will be rectified anytime soon..... though we can all hope for an increase.

I'm wondering if the new Elsweyr home is divided up into different load cells, each with their own item count. Looking at the video online, I think this could actually be a possibility.
Failing that, I see no excuse why we can't buy more slots for the houses that don't have the full 700

Agreed. I've reworked the Psijic villa so many times. Always maxing out. I cant even add a library. and do not get me started on the lore book fiasco. with a home and garden that large its ridiculous that all big houses are only 100 spaces bigger than a medium. At least increase it to 1000. giving a significant difference between that and the next sized down. Also a ship as furniture would be awesome xD

I don't mind the idea of adding a load screen between zones in a house and having a separate item count for each zone. (interior/exterior)

I think as referenced in several other threads the housing cap isn't a real issue and it's more about collision. But as long as people aren't stacking 700 items dead in the middle of each other the cap is easily increased.

The reference point they used for this is the undaunted trophies and others category, Manors can have 80 Trophies and 10 Collectibles; that's 90 more slots than the 700 cap and those items are generally more intensive (graphically) than some furnishings. Moreover they definitely have collision built into them so there isn't really a reason they couldn't just nix the trophies and collectibles limits and instead allow those to be any regular furnishing (up to the 800 cap just for arguments sake).

We probably won't see a furniture increase but there is in all likelihood no actual reason outside of some idiot stacking 700 Khajiit Braziers all turned on on top of each other that the furniture cap couldn't be increased.
