Should EU players be able to play with their EU chars on the NA server?

The pvp on EU is unplayable due to performance issues. Lag everywhere and BG are broken during prime time. While the NA server seems to be general in a better state.
Should it be possible for EU player to play on the better Server with their chars?

I just want to lvl up again on NA just to play there because EU servers are really bad.

Should is irrelevant. It's functionally impossible to copy data to a server that already has data on it. There are too many known issues and too many possible unintended side effects.
That's why console copy was a one-time deal, and why PTS is wiped before regional character copies.

You are completely right but the posters intend is different: to ask for a workaround for the *** performance. I, for one, wouldnt mind renaming mit toons if I could actually cc Break or fire of Skills in pvp

It can't happen, so the question is moot. Besides, let's not pretend that the NA servers have run as smooth as silk these past 5 years, they have had their fair share of problems in that time. Who knows how they will run when they get the same update that some of the EU players are blaming their current difficulties on?

Well they could maybe do so but what they might have to do is increase the number of na character slots so they can transfer in eu characters. It might be a last resort measure if the eu server was to fail more then likely would they make new eu server and might have to transfer characters onto a backup database and in the best case temp transfer them them to the na. So if players had fifteen character slots they might have to give them thirty for eu transfers. Which I don't think they would be willing to do. Plus I think the lag would be very bad. As every eu player would then be playing the na servers and there might be a reason why they have both mega servers. Well they could maybe make do with having one big mega mega server to house both. There could be more players playing on the eu server causing more lag and the problems there so that can't be ruled out compared to Na. Anything is possible I just don't think they will do eu character transfers to the na server. Do to how complicated it would be. More then likely making a new backup server or server before that would ever happen.

What they could do is maybe transfer, dlc outfit, appearance , dye unlocks, furniture/houses character slots owned over to the Na Server so players can start fresh on there and maybe refund dlc bought on na server if players bought dlcs and outfits, houses other things on eu. So Even friends lists, and ignore lists upgrading the amount you can have on those lists. There is so many things I think they could do here.

How about a middle ground server.
Yup we need an asian server.
If all, well mostly, eu server players go to na servers, how much stress would/can it take.

Should ask the same question for console users. Its reprehensible that zos leaves console as it is and wont even let the people WILLING to buy the game again transfer their stuff over. No, instead you should start over on another platform, in the same game, if you want to actually play it like it was intended. Losing years of work on one platform..

And I dont believe what they have said about not being able to do it anymore, not at all.. But to answer the question, no eu players probably shouldnt be able to play on NA servers.. Unless its as bad on EU as it is on console, and if the issue persists for years like it has here. I dont think its been going on for that long so hopefully they will do something about it soon, or at least comment on it. But if it persists then ya, they should probably let anyone willing transfer to PC NA. It seems to be the only platform that works, at least better than the other platforms.

I mean, they certainly could do it. It just might cost way more then anyone was willing to pay. Imagine having to pay a code jockeys hourly rates for half a day on your own... yeah, I don't really see this happening easily.

Also, if it did... would not the NA servers get the same issues imported with that many more people?

Better to ask for server improvements in general!

Merging the servers would cause a lot of problems for them to solve. For example, would they refund all the duplicate crown store items? Are names server-based? People lose their minds over losing a name they have had forever.

What should happen is the EU servers being fixed and maintained at a level that is far better that they currently are!

What will not happen is this, not because of the devs or poor code but because those that control the money see no reason to lose some of it!

It's actually quite liberating - no cp, blank slate, no kit to borrow from others... almost like an adventure!

I started playing EU alts during the Summerset event--and it is fun to start again with a blank slate--and seemingly luckier characters. My lowbies have already found two copies of the Imperial motif book.

I play on EU and NA and see no difference, the same problems exist on both servers.

Agreed. But this one she accepts her US family will always be the poorer branch. They are there mainly so this one always has a paw of her own on the PTS.

They don't have houses, pretty clothes or a banker. Many of them will never be levelled and can be considered mostly a crafting and festival goodies support team for Tickle Claws.

Still it is nice to be able to see people about you would not see otherwise and be ready should there ever be another event like Summerfall in the future again.

The answer is no, simply put. There is not a mechanism in place for what you ask and probably a little more involved than a days project. I expect Zos will continue to put resources elsewhere, Sorry.
