Lenovo y510p

Royalbadass
Hey people.

Im thinking about buying the Lenovo y510p. Just wanted to hear, if anyone is using this pc, and would recommend? Im gonna be using it without the SLI / Ultrabay (im not gonna add another graphic card).

How smooth does ESO run? How many FPS? How is pvp, laggy?

Thanks :)

I have the y510p with the dual 750m GPUs, but the SLI function does not work until Nvidia releases the drivers. In which case, I run the game on Ultra setting around 40FPS in town, but I haven't tested this in a PVP setting yet. Personally, I recommend getting the SLI setup as it is the best value. If you need a DVD drive, I bought an external one that I rarely use. Otherwise, I'm very impressed with the performance of this Laptop even without, rather especially without SLI drivers... I did ALOT of research and you CAN'T find one with the same value and price comparison. I'll argue that till my face turns blue lol.

I too have the Lenovo y510p, without the dual GPUs. I run it very smoothly - but i disable shadows because I personally don't need them and they are in the way and a drain and what-not. I PvP'd alot from 10 - 20 and no hardware lag what-so-ever.

Thanks alot guys. So currently you're running the kinda like without the SLI (the extra graphic card) since it doesn't work yet? or ?

You probably already know that, but I say it anyway : IMO, laptops are terrible for games. I think this is a bad idea.

I Know laptops aren't as optimized for gaming as a desktop. But i like playing with my friends at their house, and i also need it for school. So laptop is my only choice :)

@Royalbadass Yes, essentially mine functions with only one GPU. To be honest, I think it's common knowledge that desktops have the 'ability' to be more powerful than laptops since hardware is easy to swap, but the Y510P will perform on high-ultra settings on most games now and the near future assuming you have the SLI setup and the SLI drivers..... NVIDIA!!!! I want my drivers lol!
