If you delete a character, will you lose the gear they last touched

I heard of a bug a while back that if you deposit gear from and alt then delete them, all the gear will be lost unless you pick it up by another character. Is this still a thing? I use an alt as a monster helm mule, but I'd like to delete him.

✭✭✭✭The bug was fixed. The only gear you should lose now when deleting is the stuff that is actually in the deleted character's backpack, stuff they are wearing and any currency they have on themselves.PC EU0 -
