ZOS - will the group finder issues be addressed before the expansion?

Greetings!

In the interests of making ESO as successful and profitable as it can be, I am sure many of us would like to address the following two issues:

Joining a Queue When clicking on join for whatever queue it may be, we receive the error "Unable to join at this time" or something similar.
Accepting a Queue Pop When a queue finally pops up and asks the player to join, it seems that it is failing despite people clicking on accept. This has been verified through players in a group trying to join a queue together.

Once the expansion releases and you have a ton more players, at the current state of the queue finder, I can only imagine the outrage and let's say extremely unsatisfied players that are going to be logging in and unable to do content.

Therefore, is there anything that we can do as players, in order to help whomever is working on this issue?

I plan on downloading the PTS. Yes I am interesting in Necromancer, but to be honest I am sure you will get more feedback from your streamers and celebrities than anything I can contribute on that side of things. What I can do, and would prefer to do, is to somehow work on getting the queues to work correctly. I am sure that there are many more of us that would appreciate being able to help test & fix something worthwhile, that makes a big impact to almost all players.

How can we help?

Thank you

Doesn't happen to me. Are you over cp 1600? Which server?

    I am CP 410 located in Germany / EU-PC.

I would also associate the Battleground issues with this thread as well, for instance: When zoning into a Battleground, at some point in time people stop populating the other teams and you sit there forever.

I have done a bit of independent research on this and here on the forums as well as in-game, many people have these issues with the queues.

I am sure there are some that never experience it but on any given night after work if I log in and go to Deshaan for instance, it is quite likely I will see someone asking if the queues are broken.

Sorry, I forgot to add, that at least for myself, I queue 100% of the time solo as a tank for veteran and regular dungeons (and battlegrounds) so it is readily apparent to me whenever the queue system is not working.

From looking at your profile @Tasear I am thinking you most likely run with guildmates and this problem might not be as visible to you.

Happens all the time during peak times on PC EU. It’s a long running well known issue.

You can be in a premade, with voice comms clicking accept together and you will still get the “someone declined” error message.

I agree with OP, it would be great if there was something I could do to help resolve this issue (other than never doing anything with group finder again). I would love to help resolve this issue.

Ignoring this issue, or pretending that “we thought it was fixed” just perpetuates the sense that ZOS doesn’t care about its EU customers.

This will be blindingly obvious when the group finder fails completely during PvP week of the Anniversary event and no one can do Battlegrounds. Or during Dungeon week when no one can do dungeons with it.

I guess we shall need to wait until everyone wakes up in the morning, and then perhaps we might get a response and can move forward.

I would put this issue as a "showstopper," because you have to factor in not only negative player sentiment, but also possible horrible and scathing reactions from the media, once people try to log in during launch and encounter these queue issues.

Battlegrounds was an absolute mess last night. In 2 hours I found one match. Technically I found two, but the second one never started. We sat inside BG waiting for one team to get more players, but after 20 minutes we all gave up and left.
You should be embarrassed ZOS, seriously. Don't get me wrong, you absolutely nailed it with BGs - I love them, but I just wish I could participate more and wasn't hindered by your awful dungeon finder.

I spam clicks on join button. That works for me.

But BG issue happened to me yesterday. 3 1 1 population ang game made us 4 instead of adding to other teams.

Dont worry, ZOS said that they wont held any events using the groupfinder until its working 100%, so in two weeks get a 100% working group finder >:)

If there is one thing in the world that I'm 100% certain of it's ZOS having no intention (or means) whatsoever to ever fix the group finder.
I've literally given up after years of evasive answers (if any) and half-hearted promises.

Zos will not reply to this thread. For almost a year they ignored our threads telling them the GF had not been fixed, including examples with a full group queueing to prove it was the GF and not players actually declining the queue pop.

Zos finally acknowledged the issue during the Undaunted event but blatantly lied to us that they thought they had fixed it. They clearly see our threads, we know this, so they had to lie.

BTW, they said they would not have another event that "required" the GF until they get it fixed. With the word "require" they clearly mean that using the GF was the only way to get a specific reward such as tickets. If there are other ways to get the reward then GF is not required.

In the end, it means they will/may fix the GF if and when they get around to it. It does not seem to be a priority since they are not communicating with us.

I guess I would prefer not to accuse people of lying, regardless of what may or may not have happened. Instead let's give them a chance to respond to this concern and go from there :)

No one wants to see an article in Forbes like "Zenimax Online releases new expansion, riddled with group content bugs."

This is an opportunity to fix things before something like that may occur.

They have responded. And I guess you can pick which you think is appropriate. Zos either lied that they did not know of purposely and consciously chose to ignore every thread complaining about the GF.

It is one or the other. There is no middle ground.

Good luck. Zos has already made a first pass at the forums this morning as they have been open for business for a few hours.,

They never responded to some of the thread explaining the issue and tagged Zos people. Even threads that explained the issue in a manner where there was no room for error that the blame was on the GF, then a couple months later Zos said they were not aware of the issue. Just saying.

It's gone on so long now that I doubt they even know how to fix it.
I'm going to keep pointing out this dumb comment from Gina below because it was another blatant lie along with the gem from @ZOS_RichLambert who also said during the London press event the following paraphrased from someone else on the forum that was there and spoke to him directly:
Slowing Down Content Releases and the Great Fix Patch
I spoke with Rob about the fast release of updates and if ZOS had considered doing a “Great Fix Patch” for one of their updates. He said it’s a question they get a lot and whilst it’s not off the table they as a company do need to produce for everyone and a majority of the bugs and issues faced are not ones everyone encounters or are drastically halting gameplay, as such they need to continue creating content for people who want new content to play and and don’t play at the higher level to notice if a skill or mechanic works a little wonky.

So there we have it, no fixes just more buggy content and delusional devs who think the bugs and issues aren't as bad as we have proved through bug reports, pictures, videos and 100's of forum posts. There is no fix coming, unless it's the Crown Store

    @Tasear

are you saying you have never had a bugged group finder either for bg's or dungeons?

As for zos's communication issues, there has to be communication first for there to be issue's with it.

Report crown store issues and its fixed within the hour.

Im rly fed up with this.
i play mostly evening and every evening is the same - i spend 30 min accepting queues reading msgs that some has decilned, when i miraculously get a BG, its 2v3v4.

    Seriously *** this.
Can;t wait for blizzard to release classic wow server.

this game has awesome solo player content, but your multiplayer stuff stinks.
