Tried to create a guild..

So, formerly I was a member of 5 guilds. Then i decided I wanted to make one, so I ditched my least favourite and clicked "create guild", entered the name and alliance, and hit CREATE. A message in the top of the screen said "You cannot join another guild without leaving one first".
OK, so i tried logging out, then on, same steps, same result.
Then I tried leaving all but 2 guilds (3 empty guild slots), logging off, then on and trying again, same steps. Same result.
Quit program, rinse and repeat, same result. "You cannot join another guild without leaving one first".
Filed a /bug report, but I just want to know if anyone else has experienced this, or has seen an error in my procedure?
