Returning player, is NB-Sap Tank still a thing?

aemanius✭✭Thanks guys for all the informations about Sap Tank, some of you looks like they are using a different alternative to the original sap-tank.. (@exeeter702, @Mojmir. @SidewalkChalk5 etc.)
would be nice to see some build / video to follow, for newbie player like me.

LordTareq✭✭✭✭✭I once played a sap tank. Then it took an arrow to the knee and became a mere mundane tank like DK's but worse.
You can still incorporate elements of the sap tank in your build these days like the obvious siphoning strikes & Sap Essence or even Swallow Soul if you go somewhat hybrid stat-wise which is doable. As long as you incorporate the must have tank abilities in your build, why not.
Just don't take it to PvP.
