Today i want to take a moment to pin out the most ridiculous complaints i've read on this forum, discord, and other ESO related sites and topics:

    1) Everybody will be using the same sets or heavy armor, seriously? when is the last time that you served in the military? there is something called "standard equipment" that soldiers will have.
did the Roman empire push forward because everybody was wearing what they felt was the best? no! if a unit leader decides to have the whole unit equipped in uniformity with the best equipment available well i tip my hat to that smart individual. The only moment you will see a diversity of equipment on a combat unit is if there is a soldier with a particularly designated task within the unit.

    2) The Tank is holding block and wont die: and? isn't that what the tank is supposed to do? oh let me guess, somehow you want it to be you and your zerg buddies showed up, everything must die
    regardless.

    3) The Healer is wearing sets that keep everybody alive: you dont say....

    4) The Nightblades are using shadow cloak and ganking: a nightblade came out of the shadows and killed you? almost huh? what did the nightblade do next? oh it kept moving within the shadows huh? maybe because that's what a nightblade does.

    5) The (insert stamina built class here) is using a two handed weapon and heavy armor hits hard and i cant kill it: Well that warrior surely did his research pretty well and was smart enough not to enter the battlefield wearing a leather jacket or a robe cause the same thing applies for when people complain about heavy armored magicka builds.

    6) Siege weapons hit hard: simply look up siege weapons on your search engine of choice, im not gonna even bother with this one.

    8) The Sorcerers and Wardens brought their pets: So no conjurers allowed?

    9) People stack on a resource or a hold with their sieges and we can't take it: well ok sorry peeps, the enemy has arrived lets just all move out and let them have their way.

    10) Nerf (insert class skill and passive here) This is Tamriel people, a place of Magic, a place with historical powerful Mages and Warriors of might whom have caused plane melds, sunken whole islands, killed dragons, faced daedric lords but (x) skill is OP, nope nerf it ZOS nerf it now or i will cancel my plus.

Most of the nerfs that have been done and continue to be put in place is because people complain about the builds the either couldn't achieve or refused to due to a ridiculous ,narcissist sense of "pride" oh that's just a cookie cutter build, oh i want my unique but obviously useless build to be as great or above to whatever that warrior has. Im not talking about talking about the just spam (x) skill over and over people am talking about people who actually built their character to exceed.

To everybody who has done an almost immortal tank, a mass healing mender, a heavy armored deadly warrior, a fast moving in and out of the shadows, ganking nightblade, i salute thee and thanks for making the battlefield glorious. Exept you treehuggers and LoS heroes , it was fun at first to chase you around but now its old and boring so please come up with something new to make the chase fun once more.

Excellent post and I agree with nearly everything you posted here.

Most PvP complaints can be summed up this way: "It's stopping me from being able to zerg you to death in seconds - therefore it's OP and needs to be nerfed!"

That is basically the way of it.

    exactly.
    the OP is all truth.
    good thread.

Brilliantly written! One I would add that you didn't mention that always gives me a good laugh:

"I can't 1vX because of reasons... I'm supposed to be able to kill hordes on my own due to my awesomeness!"

Usually it's someone complaining that they lose an outnumbered fight because the enemies are using something that requires 0 skill. And I have to agree, a more skilled player shouldn't lose to multiple far less skilled players just because they all equip bleed/oblivion and proc sets that skill can't counter. But that's just the way the game is I guess.

    that statement is completely false.
lets think about this seriously, in Bruce Lee movies he can kill a group of people because its Fake, its Hollywood, its not meant to happen in real life.

what it means is that there is unbalance in the game that needs tweeked, and zenimax devs did a really good job fixing it so far, just needs a little bit more tweeking, and i know Brian Wheeler is the perfect man for that, because he just got promoted to that position.
and he just made a thread showing that he is starting his overhaul and work looking at all the skills and finding the balance he knows should exist.

in any mmo, if i jump into a fight against a group of people expecting to kill all of them and that i survive with no harm means the game is broken or allows for broken builds and needs fixed.
and they did fix it now so that it is much harder to do that.
here in eso, if you do survive a group and you kill all of them then your build needs looked at for being over powered.
no game should allow you 1 guy to kill everyone constantly all the time.
it doesnt mean your "-skilled" it means the game has broken features or broken abilities that exploiters use as a way to make people think they are skilled. and zenimax is doing a great job in that field.
lets let them do thier work and no more nerf threads.

First I didn't say no harm and no, it can also mean the group of people are far less skilled. For example someone who has mastered their build and been playing years should not be able to lose a fight against 4 very new players to pvp with little experience. Numbers and sets should not win you the fight, skill should.

Again I disagree, I have been in many fights outnumbered against 5+ players and all they do is spam light attacks, with no impen, no skills used, no running, rolling or using any form of defence, yet your telling me I should lose this fight simply because I am outnumbered ? What a terrible way to balance a game.

That was a good read. Still, you have to ask yourself some things. About the "X is unkillable argument" if two unkillable groups fight each other, it sucks the fun out of pvp. It just becomes a matter of who has nerves of steel because one group will eventually give up. That's not balance and that is not fun. X needs counterplay Y that can be anticipated and mitigated through Z etc making it a battle of wits and skills rather than dragging it out until one side gives up. So when people say "X is unkillable" there is at least some valid argument in there. It's an entirely different question whether they are right on that or not and if the issue is counter-fun or not.

I feel like the situation of "everyone dies too fast" is way more healthy for pvp than the opposite but the ideal lies in the goldilocks zone between.

Your missing the bigger problem. Class balance is either DPS or tank. Not both. Video games have trade offs to make competitive play balanced. If ZOS is going to go down the road of both, than the cloth/robed classes need better trade offs to compete with the current HA/TWO handed meta.

And if you are going to go down the road of realism, I doubt a medieval knight would be lugging and swinging around a two handed sword in full plate mail at the speeds and power that is exuberant in this game. Do your research.

the only thing i think needs to be addressed his heavy armor, you shouldnt be able to have that much resists and also have 5-6k wd and decent sustain. there needs to be a balance. otherwise why would anyone ever use med armor build?

So, when other people complain about class/ armor imbalance it's just a "learn to play/ adapt and overcome issue" but when you face a tree hugger/ LoS hero/ tryhard-circle-runner it's a legit complaint? Nah, mate!

i’m not complaining about them, its just that chasing them is not as fun as it used to be at first

Then buff medium. No decent dmg stat sets and a useless stealth passive is the issue imo. No need to nerf everything into the ground.
